What it really boils down to is simple. Can the AI use the Special Abilities effectively? It is seen in game now with the specials that have been modded in. They are great for the player who know when to use them based on various criteria, such as lenght, recharge etc. What is seen alot by the AI is just a "use" of them because they have them, not a use to best effect. It is another example of the "Order of Events" queue not processing things in a timely fashion. End of Turn completes events and then flushes the queue as would any Reload. Currently, things can happen so out of order you get WTH moments all the time and then have to think back. "Ahhh! Right, that was when..." but has no relevance to the current Turns events. If "only" the game had a good Battle Chess program running the AI. Imagine the Tactical map is loading, the AI calculates your "pieces" values vs its own and then simply goes about destroying your BEST piece and does so using all available units, tactics (positioning) and strategies (Magic) to achieve that goal. Just like Battle Chess. The Tact Maps are just 2X sized Chess boards as is, so no worries there. Add in an Intelligent use of Magic and Tactical Battle

A new Map is a Mod so you have to have Use Mods clicked in the Options screen. Under the New Game Window use the LOAD button to see a list of Your Maps. The base Tactical set resides in C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Elemental\data\Maps\TacticalMaps In the Editor, hit Cancel, then Load and the Whole Tactical Map list should be visible and available for editing
Finally got to see the Hands Spell. Same issue as always, it is not a Full tile and units can move out of the Hands. I will have another thought about it. Works well though. Saved my ASS on 2 occasions. :)
A general rule of thumb for Kingdoms would have armor be Unique and weapons be more generic where the uniqueness in weapons may be the ornamental nature of their scabbards or sheaths, as in a Long Sword is a Long Sword but its holder could be very ornate (which we can't see anyways) but a Suit of Armor was fitted to an single individual and in that respect it auto become unique. :)
Buildings show it as well. Some serious "colorful" shades going on.

I have an issue that I can't seem to resolve. When I add items to the Tact map in the editor (any stone based item it seems) it looks great. Then when I go to the Game proper and my Tact Map loads I see these Items as ALL black. Any Stone items as noted already on the map before editing also show Black. I would be very grateful if ANYONE who could solve this issue for me please Post. It would make modding Tact map (in my case anyways) much more succes

If you do not partake in the Diplomatic possibilities available in the game that leaves but 2 choices. Conquer or be Conquered. Now I don't see how, even if it were 2 pristine Angel factions doing the fighting, one will always consider the other Evil, because they are the ones getting conquered, and as such consider themselves the Good guys/gals. This whole topic is so sourly "deja vu" it tortures my senses to read
