I'm not trying to be rude here, just curious, but are you aware that the Beta build that we have is, at least, several full build versions behind what Stardock actually have? The game, on their servers, would be much, much further along than the Beta that we have.
I do not think that they are "much much further", because there would be no reason for beta test with us in that respect. And while we do test
MxM111
This thing has great potential, but it needs SO MUCH MORE WORK, before it becomes something interesting to play. I think only now the game shapes itself into something that actually could be called beta, but still lots of things are missing or not working, so I am not sure if it can be called beta, it is still more like late alpha. Anyway, I see huge potential, but lots of balancing, tweaking, and fluff is required in this game, but it can not be done properly yet, because lots things
1) When city levels up, one can chose a benefit, however, after I chose it, I do not see it anywhere mentioned, not in city description, nor in other places like calculations for output. It should be more visible. 2) Somehow I can not build gardens, or whatever food producing buildings in the cities, I do not understand why. There probably some requirement for that to appear even as a gray item, but I can not even figure it out. I do not know how, but there must be a way to see that s
I confirm the right scrolling bug
For whatever reasons, my preference is to reverse rotation of the map when I press middle mouse button. Could you please put into options "reverse Y-rotation" and "reverse X-rotation" for middle mouse button? Otherwise I feel like drunk when I try to rotate the view.
If I try to edge scroll to the right it scrolls to the right and down instead of just to the right
I hope that the rest of us who is not interested in multiplayer, will still get updates with the new beta versions...
Notice how when you hover your pointer on an enemy, the pointer normally changes to a crossed swords pointer? And how sometimes it doesn't? I think when it doesn't, you're pointing at a shadow/ghost/what-have-you.
Well, as I mentioned in my case, the pointer does change into the crossed sword "attack" pointer if I hover it about the cell with hero and the spider. So, by this definition it is not a ghost.<
I think that right click also can be good idea. And I am not talking windows right click type of interface, but the one that gives your icons arond cursor when you right click (those icons can have sub-menues/sub icons as well if you click them). It is strange that they try to save scrolling time by letting us drag the map, yet they want us to go through the menus on the bottom of the screen, which is fine but if one has "accelerators" through things like double click or middle click
My point is that there should be one. And I am sure that CIV players would want to have a build screen (and I do suspect that majority who play this game are familiar with civ). But of cource the configuration options are even better. Actually, why do we need detail and build screens as two different screens? Can they be combined?
I tried to attack the spider, but I could not. Instead I went to the same cell. If I hover the cursor above the cell, I can see the "attack" cursor, and the info card for the spider. Please also note that info card says that the spider awaits orders. The cell itself shows both my hero and the spider.
I am constantly double clicking on the city expecting the build menu open when you closup to the city. I think it is quite natural shortcut.
I do NOT like silly But I DO like funny "I am out of gum" is silly and breakes the mood perk : +70% pop "Don't ask" is funny and does NOT break the mood. You can have humor withing the limits of the story line and be quite funny without breaking the mood. Just my 2c
I also currently do not undestand what is the point of having large population? They do not generate much money (you probably have to spend more on housing). I also liked the previous system better, but I also do like limitation of each building type. Kind of stupid to expect 10 theaters in one city...
I think this is tied to moement not updating bug. The monster's marker might be on that square, but if you click on it do you get the card and highlighted border for it?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sometimes when it is on the same cell as my hero, I can hover over it and get a card of either hero or of the monster.
X% will not work if you are low in currency. May be I want to upgrate huts and get into dept?
I do not know if it is suppose to be this way, but, a) On multiple occasions I was able to co-locate my unit with the monster unit and stay in the same squere for quite long time. b) Sometimes not mine units are flickering. In the begining of the turn they appear for like 0.5s and then disapear. What's interesting it is true even if they are in the explored part of the map where I do not have LOS.
I do not think that the buildings should be of similar efficiency. More efficient buildings should be later in the technology tree. But with bank, I agree, it is late in the research tree, and way too expencive for 1 gold/turn. May be it can have other benifits, like 10% per turn of overal city income in addition to 1g/turn? Tax office also should be more related to the population. It could be something like income = 3% of population (a town with population 100 would give you 3g)
While I have not seen my sovereign to be stuck, there were many occations that when I put other troops on auto explore, they would stuck, they would actually not even beging moving when I click auto explore.
Also, futile topic. Nothing will be changed.
Why? Don't they want to know our opinions? And is not it the purpose of the early betas so that they can change things? They already have significantly reduced amount of the outlines in 3D world according to the screenshots, but there are more outlines in 3D models that we see in the menu in the beta. I wanted to voice my opinion that those are ugly. I do not want

I am not saying that I do not like the art, just the outlines. I just wanted to say why I think it does not work with this art direction. I did not participated in those discussions and just wanted to have my oppinion known. May be it should be possible to turn those outlines on and off?
If game saved do the folloing: 1)Go to main menu (load disabled, I do not undestand why) 2)Click new 3)Click back (loads enables) 4)Load just saved file. Crashes without creating zip file.
I really DO NOT like the art direction this game is taking with outlines. Outline works well when one wants to create "cartoon" like feeling, like in the Legend of Zelda: the Wind Walker, where you have a feeling that it is just drawn 2D picture in a sense. However, elemental is unquestionable 3D non-flat world and models and complex textures. To see outline here is UGLY, it does not make it cartoonish or drawn at all; it just makes it ... ugly. I remember one of the fir
