I totally disagree with the OP.. I like the art style.. could it be tweaked some sure why not.. but it has its own look and feel.. I respect that the OP does not like it .. however I do not want it to change.

I loved the old Darksun series both the books and Darksun 1&2 for pc.. these were awesome.. I would find a mod/campaign in this realm awesome..

I think this is already available as a down load using impulse its called "war of magic" once you download it then choose load when starting a new game .. you also have to have "use mods" selected in game options...

Dump the tree? My vote is no.. I am solidly in the camp against dumping the tree and against losing early diplomacy techs.. I support expanding the tree to give it more depth but I do not support removing techs..
