I do think that the idea of razing a city taking time may be a good one.. it would allow time for the city owner to attempt to send troops to retake it.This would force the conquering army to hold the city.. So maybe make it take x numbers of turns based on city level and pop... seems like an interesting solution that should not be to prohibitive. another possible idea may be if the conquering army abandons the city before it is razed it has a chance to rejoin former owner or become a n

I decided to cancel my gamestop order and go ahead and get the limited edition from impulse.. Now it seems i have to wait until beta 3.. rats heh heh....

I do hope with the kids, we get schooling/fostering options that would allow them to grow in to there own unique abilities (read train/level up). even if this does not make release think of the expansion "Elemental Dynasties: the next Generations!" here is a thought... (and if its a bad idea ignore it heh...) since the goal for elemental is ultimately for it to be a low sys resource hog,as a simpler way to create/allow a hot seat game is it possible to have 2 instances running on the same machine logged into same game?I know this would limit hot seat to 2 players but i Am just brain storming here. like i said if this is more work then building in hot seat never mind. heh heh

I use steam (mostly because some of the games I wanted to play require it) and while I do find it intrusive it is not a deal breaker.. I use Impulse.. I have been a fan of stardock ever since galciv. so when they launched impulse it was natural for me to give it a go. It does feel less intrusive to me. impulse feels more like a source for the download then big brother forcing me to use his choice.. (this is how it seems to me)...
