If the consensus is that we should push v1.1 into January, we can do that but it could effectively end Elemental if it's the wrong choice since this Christmas is, effectively the first impression most people will get of the game (sales are already starting to reach a new height and I see some of the support tickets from v1.09). That's why it's important to make the determination of which game is better - v1.09 or v1.1 (what we have + fixes and twe

bad mechanic.. I have said this before but.. The cities owned by other sovereign's should do one of the following.. a: become independent as single city states looking after only there own affairs similar to the independent factions. b: become a new independent nation looking after only there own affairs similar to the independent factions. and my personal favorite c: fall under control of the heir's if there are any and staying the same nation.. this cou
totally disagree with the OP... especially how slow it is to move units otherwise now.. btw the current cost for TP is 15 mana and I have never seen Teleport friends in game, I do not think it made the cut.. I have no issue making it a toggle choice in game set up for MP as for single play ... if you do not like it do not use it... if you do not have the self control to not use something you think is over powered or breaks immersion for you then just walk away from the pc now... as to d
If anything make it a toggle in the game setup.. this way it works for either..
I like the proposed unit infinitive based on combat speed that I believe is part in 1.1? The random roll to see who goes first as a quick fix is a good idea.
Any champion I imbue can teleport the entire stack as long as it has 15 mana and is the stack leader (leftmost unit in the unit group, on the lower right). Your results may vary but I doubt it.
yup same for me as long as they are stack leader works fine.
usually I get this error when some one other then the leader of the group who got the quest finishes the quest and / or the leader that got the quest is not the one in the stack carrying the egg. If you save just after getting quest and make sure leader of group gets the egg and returns it , this should prevent the error.
teleport was fine and fun the way it was. It was not a must have but was a useful to have.. I do not mind the change to 15.. I would not mind the idea of a 5 point of sov +1 per unit in stack either.. It can be adapted to .. Hamstringing one feature because some view it as broken or because it does not work well in multiplay is serving only a portion of the community.. If you do not like an "thing you deem overpowered" do not us it no one is forcing you.. If a "thing" needs to be differ
with organized gone these potions are worthless. modify them to add combat speed (initiative for future).. this or make the effect permanent or perhaps a 5 turn whole stack +1 move.. the times using a potion that gives one unit a +1 move for 5 turns being useful are limited.. at least thats how I see it.. We tried the route suggested by the OP, and it was the general consensus that it was not fun.. while I support changes I do not think taking a step backwards is the right idea. especially with some of the other changes we have had. Honestly right now the old adage "to many cooks spoil the soup" comes to mind way to often for me when I think about all the changes made and in consideration.. Change is not always good. I think we need baby steps in these changes or the game play will

There is some damn fine work through out this thread.. awesome work gang... this promises to be really nice... [e digicons][/e]
I completely uninstalled my game and deleted the elemental folder in my documents / my games and then installed 1.08.037 and I hit just fine now..
I do not support limiting city building.. it is as fair a strategy as the zerg is.. If i manage to build up a bigger empire that allows me to make elite troops that whoop on some ones butt.. then good on me... however! the AI builds way to many cities just because it wants to link to resource with out considering growth of other cities.. this needs to be fixed.. there is a suggestion about tweaking the population and time it takes to make pioneers that may help wit
If your still on the fence then your interested.. I am having fun with the game right now. I have yet to finish a game but that's because I take my time exploring, monster hunting and developing my "base nation" be for going to full on war mode.. I do defend myself from those that attack and usually end up with an ally or 2. This is how I have fun as it is.. if you expect a challenging AI its not there yet, there are bugs that wreck game play for

Well this comes up all the time and all agree so... once again .. I agree this and a few other topics lend support to the idea we need a under consideration / coming soon type of permanent thread that links to a consolidated thread where we can discuss the matter and find it easily.. this would help Devs and player immensely..

But some general term rather then a specific one, Mounts for example or perhaps simply have the same tile display the proper name for the faction that mouses over it.. IE pasture for horses dens f
there are cases where retreat is not possible ... in some cases only certain "glowing areas" work for side.. at least I think I have encountered this..
Linux gamers are actually a bit more numerous than Mac gamers, if Quake Live is any indication. And they seem a lot more starved for good games (see average money paid for Humble Indie Bundle). And contrary to what some people say, you don't have to spend a lot of effort supporting multiple varieties of Linux. Linux users are exceptional at helping themselves and if you target only one distribution (like Ubuntu) the pack leaders will translate the process, write instructions or even in
Further, if a group of people wanted to do this unofficially (IE with out Stardock sanction/support) and then use this format to better hone their ideas/goals and then present them to Stardock using this forum.. I have no issue with that.. Not only that I have no say unless I join in .. that is until said "honed ideas" are presented here.. Honestly unless you do it by invite only (this is however a select council type thing again)I fear you will find it does not go as well as hoped..
I made a discussion titled 'shop depth' where I propose a sort of 'spell shop', amongst other things, that is meant to be a part of a highly specialized tech-town interaction. Under this system I argued that items, equipment, etc., would become far more unique and Kingdoms/Empires would not be able to be self sufficient. The same applies to spells - there would be a definitive cost for an Empire/Kingdom to specialize throughout all towns in the

I would rather see moderated threads that are dedicated to specific topics and moderated heavily to remove noise (off topic stuff and personnel disagreements and so on) that in the first post keep a synopsis of the discussion.. I am firmly in the camp that real time does not well support the numbers of people, the varying degrees of communication skills (let alone language differences), nor do they allow sufficient time for folks to digest whats being said and respond. To me this only make sense if the maps we play on are considered the whole world vs the known world. It its the wold world its a blood small planet heh heh... I actually support the wrap around but only once we get some really planet size map options with multiple continents. Further I suggest it be a toggle so that we can decide what size worlds to wrap around.. Just some brainstorming on the idea!
