I don't think you should start with free units, I like that I have to choose between popping units, pioneers or silly buildings, sadly pioneers win that race ATM. I would love to see some better starting technology though. (For trained units). Sincerely ~ Kongdej

Meditation - +1 mana/essence - 10 mana cost - extremely useful and well balanced. Enchanted Hammers - +1 materials - 10 mana cost - acceptable if low unrest, but balanced.
The examples and analyses people gave before all involved big armies. I was just using their examples. Anyway, as long as you have an army of at least 3, you can minimize the counter-attack damage to 33%. I would not call an army of 3 large by any means.
That said, we agree that counter attack is not ALWAYS 100% more damage, but 33% damage is well.. stretching it, if I place my units corre
Whether the computer utilises the above tactic or not to minimize counter-attack damage is a whole different matter (if it does not, that is an AI flaw, not a game mechanic flaw). However, in theory counter-attack should really only add a minimum of 33% extra damage per round, NOT 100% more damage like other people have assumed!
You have big armies ^_^ I never really bring tons of trained units, and If I bring swords, I o
4. Spells inflict critical damage. The Hero with a knife shoots magic critical hit 100 +. Probably a bug? Or do magic, too, must be critical damage?
Noticed this too, that is really odd (My assassin was casting fireballs :D). Really good catches, and thanks for putting them in here, will play around with groups, squads, and meaby bigger unit sizes today to see what the deal is with upkeep. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
I agree they are way out of balance too. Mostly inspiration, and enchanted hammers. You don't have all the city enchants though on that list, I remember 2 enchants to boost food for example. I do think Mana cost should be better balanced no matter what, and I hope they fix it so inspiration, meditation, and others don't have the same icon in the enchantment ledger. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Seen this too, helps to restart the game. Really annoying. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Cities are pretty aggressive about building buildings, gets very annoying until you get used to it. I guess its pretty bad for new players too >_ Sincerely ~ Kongdej
I like the blindness actually, I think the problem is in the spell itself though, it is incredibly powerful compared to level 1 spells. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Funny, but atleast you can boost your city defenses. :D gotta go take a look cause I like the "Feature" but it have to stand out that you are about to enchant city militia. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Funny I saw this too, with only 1 custom sovereign and 3-4 custom units in my file... I only saw it with my custom sovereign though. Gotta pay attention to these things obviously :) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
I think the savegame could help, and system specifications, it have been reported before but is kind of hard to figure out (I guess). https://forums.elementalgame.com/415301 This the general "How to report a bug" thread, might give a few good pointers. [e digicons][/e] Sincerely ~ Kongdej

Arh thats it, (Tried researching charms and could not train monks either). I really don't like that unit's are showing up there, mostly since I cannot really see what the units do, and most pre-designed units aren't all that good. But yes, it should be reflected that you also needs "Training" to build monks, when they show off the research tree. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
The game is fun and addictive great job there Stardock, but at least on my laptop it crashes frequently (maybe every 8 turns or less). So I limited my vote to fair until the crash issues are resolved. Maybe it will never run reliably on a laptop with Vista.
You should really put in issues on the FE support forum, that type of crashing sounds very particular to your case. https:
Sean really good reply at reply#55. ;) I really agree with most of the little thing. I do think shields should be more dodge dependant than defense dependant though, to give them some flavour, but they should have a tiny bit more dodge, and adding air dodge would be cool. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
