I don't know why they reduced HP on sovereigns either, except it was an attempt to get them in-line end-game. It would help if you said what difficulty you were playing at, I find ridiculous way harder now for example. Also I think the wraith blood, and the amarrian blood is more like a weakness, especially now, which is really annoying. Since some of the other faction abilities are like benefits. If you are suggestion more HP at level 1, but same amount of HP gain
There are a fair amount of easy difficulties no matter, so if you are having a hard time you can help yourself with setting down the difficulty. The tutorial will not explain to you how to "win the game", you have to figure that out by yourself (as of right now), and some of the better tactics is slightly more difficult to grasp. What sovereign are you choosing, try removing your old units, races and sovereigns, and play with a premade, if that works you can probably create a new custom sovereign again. Sometimes outdated sovereigns can cause problems too. If this is not the case, sorry. I don't think "Guides" where the AI follow a precise trait plan is a good idea, but it should use some logic picking traits. Ceresa should NOT go anything but mage. Warlord Verga should go assassin or warrior. Its simple, the system should pick the path in which the hero is already strong, if the hero have few HP, or access to fire magic (and normal hp, and no bonuses to other stuff) it should go mage. If the Hero have decent HP, and Decent initiative, go for war

When you clear out a creature den, or a neutral hero which resided on a forest, after you cleared the camp the forest tile will not show trees or stuff, but look like regular plains, but still claim more movement. Rather annoying. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
