I always enjoy posts like this, and I am sure the developing team is too!
Despite much criticism, I find the game's art and stylized graphics to be very pleasing, and atmosphere-enhancing. Especially the new color scheme of bright, contrast colors on black background, it really helps to create a mood of mystery and anticipation. I hope other games will continue in similar style. I admit I liked the cell shaded games' like XIII and borderlands style

Go ahead, try and game the system. I dare you. Your weaknesses, I just ignore. S

Anyone know of a free office-like program to open this editor in, my current version of Microsoft office 10 (the free version) can't open it, and I am terribly poor, so I don't invest money in a program just to open 1 file. TY in advance. If not, I think Derek should work to have a similar feature implemented in the FE workshop :) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Thank you RuskyAndrei for providing your thoughts, always nice to see new players thoughts, and nice to hear it only took you 3 playthroughs to be able to win the game. Feel free to post other feelings and ideas for the game, if nothing else modders might pick up balance suggestions. For instance, a unit on top of a hill will have increased attack while units attacking from below would receive a penalty to their hit chance.
It would be cool to see some small hills that give a slight bonus to dodge and accuracy when you stand on them (meaby only for melee though), Could work like the Krax's fortify ability in terms of how to implement it in the game.
3) Give bonuses to attack and defense
I do not think that all these things would be a good idea entirely, although might be interesting to try. That said some of the ideas I would love to try and mod, like removing research totally and see what happens, what kind of game it becomes. If you get some ideas together I would love to hear them. I do think that you should consider a rebalance of armours and weapons if you remove research and make city level the dominant feature for new weapons and armour. And would also
