My suggestion would be to lower world difficulty.
That is not the "only real" solution, this game is created around every playstyle, you have to play a very specific way to be competetive. For Eobet, if you are still having trouble, have you looked at "Tuidjy's" Walkthrough? - https://forums.elementalgame.com/435680 Also if you design your own units instead of
Multiplayer games tend to want to decide a winner based on strategy and tactics. Solo games are boring without some chaos and random luck thrown in. MPers hate being knocked out or having a game decided by a luck event. Soloists hate being limited to strategy vs an AI which usually sucks. Its hard to mix the two equally. Some games might have switches for toning down the random luck of map placement, or random event

Fantastic post, well only read point 1 to 20 but those are good points and needs to be said (some of them, if not most of them again and again). nr 17 doesn't really serve its purpose on this list as its really just an eastethiiii-whatever thing. (not saying you are not entitled to an opinion, just saying I agree WAAAAY more with all the others ;)) If you need me to help you, I will, but once I can plug power to my laptop again (since battery can't live long enough atm.)
Which is why my guide says: "Before you even move your Sovereign on turn one, set a research topic" It's not just libraries, other game locations award research which gets wasted if you do not have a topic selected.
And not only on turn 1 as far as I am concerned (I sometimes forget to set research, and the game just ignores me and my research produced for forgetting :P) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
This is due to a bug caused by the hero-mechanic of the campaign, the tactical maps are set up with pre-determined spawn locations for units, and mots tactical maps have 9 on them, so excess units will die, or end up out there where relias was placed. Some tactical maps allow for more units to spawn, mostly the maps where you defend your town from attacks (so there is space for city militia). Try to strip down your unit group to maximum 9 units if possible. You really wish y

Also just saying those kind of feelings are different from player to player, that said I hope the dlc is at a proper pric
There are a lot of different tactics that really "break" the "balance of the current game"... well, if there is one anyways ^_^ Nothing new really, the paragon thing have been here forever. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Does the game scale its bonuses for AI controlled players in proportion to the rate of progress the player has selected for the game?
No, only scales its ai bonuses with difficulties as far as I am aware (Its supposed to be like that anyways).
