It again would be a great great place for modding to take place, if Derek would make a mod that would just switch between diff
would be fantastic if at least it could be modded into the game (in case Derek doesn't like the idea about being able to defend oneself against mounted armies) Must admit, I did not check though.. :P Sincerely ~ Kongdej
becuase it will take 25 seasons to do so
wow that's fast ^_^ I hold fast to my original statement, get rid of world wonders... it's always been an annoying feature. Sincerely ~ Kongdej

Just to confirm (I may have it wrong) I add -localdataonly to the shortcut by going "properties" "shortcut tab" and adding it to the end in the "target" field?
Bloody necromancer ^_^ PS. Try changing the "enable dynasties" to 1 and run the game as administrator, or
and I have never had auto-explore turned on.
Well I did not mean to imply it WAS the auto explore, just seems very similar to when I hit the mysterious keyboard shortcut for the button (Is there one or am I just that clumsy? ;)) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
This is a very good post, I myself have been complaining about how unfriendly the user interface of Elemental have been, and it was one of the first flaws my brother could spot in the game, since it is littered from custom sovereign creation through technology choices and I could go on. Your suggestions are good, simple and easy to grasp and I heartily recommend a thought about these UI changes.
his is not an issue in FE as the res
In the campaign, I found it best to focus on mana, and spamming "Destiny's Gift"... ;) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Also, should I just train up some regular units and have them join my army? I have been somewhat elitist in having only champions that I have found on the map in my army.
Having trained units in your army is never bad, only more heroes will reduce xp gained, new trained units are just extra power/meatshield The campaign isn't really new-player friendly, so its just about bashing you face against the wall until either your
Seems like the attack of the "auto explore"... Have you tried turning that off, besides auto explore there is nothing I can do to help you :( PS. you have to be pretty stubborn, and inventive to actually get the auto-explore turned off, its rather persistent. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
I think the button should highlight in green when auto explore is on and it should switch off if you take a manual action with that unit.
I think too :) Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Try clicking "Explore", until you see a green path showing, then click "explore" once more, I found 99% of the times I had wonky movement, its the bloody auto-explore, and its refusal to turn off properly. Sincerely ~ Kongdej
There are aspects of the game that I would rate a perfect 10. There are other aspects that are not namely: Diplomacy (single-choice responses, influence trades for 100:1, breaks treaties early, etc.), UI (empire and event trees don't show enough info and cover up text, lack of pre-movement trails, etc.), AI (doesn't cast strategic spells, attacks with soloists and pioneers, buys too many greaves, retreats even when there's
It is my understanding that if you already have a game started with a previous version you need to start a new game after patching to the new version. I could be wrong but everytime a patch comes out I just delete my old saves and start fresh. Not sure exactly if you patch and load a save game from a previous version if the new changes will be in effect for that game.
I really wish they would make this a part of the patcher though,
Checked it out, its a bug. You shouldn't be able to train units with an equipment type you cant make, but you are able to with henchmen. I'll have to think about this a bit more. Nerd detail: There is a difference between champion equipment and trained unit equipment. There actually is no such thing as trained unit equipment, that's just a unit type that has a sword gra

Was just implying if everyone got healing, a special part of life spells was... not so special anymore :D Good job anyways! Sincerely ~ Kongdej
Loner never appears because it doesn't have a Unit_Level abilitybonustype designation, it's probably meant as some sort of unique champion ability.
Arh thanks, just looked at the chance one. I am not too used to this modding code, so nice with some clarifications :D Sincerely ~ Kongdej

I made a trait list in response to someone else's thread but figured it would get more attention (give me attention! :D) in a dedicated thread, well actually I just figured more people who would want to see it, had a chance to see it. The way it was created was, that I went through the trait list in the core file and wrote it all down by hand, so if there is a mistake, blame Kael... ;) If you find I am missing a trait, or have a better idea of how to list it, p
Wow! We have some really harsh critics. Someone has played the game 200 hours and knocks it down because he's run out of new things. (Long ago, I read a game designer say his goal was to give 100 hours of quality game play.) Another person gets totally immersed in the game, gives it a "'solid' 7 to start." Many others knock it down because some other game did a particular aspect of the gam
Tuidjy, I recently made a list over traits available to heroes, is this a place to put it? https://www.dropbox.com/s/qpc9v6go37bpzlp/Trait%20List.txt Might help newer players figure out where to get which traits. Sincerely ~ Kongdej

Was looking through the "Core Abilities" to make a list of traits, and spotted a tiny type, so just wanted to share so it wouldn't mess up anything. Found in "Data" / "English" / "CoreAbilities" If you cannot see the pictures, the "AbilityBonus InternalName" is "Inaccura c teAbility". That's a
