In .981 you could still win with a solo sovereign. I've done it. So yes, you can definitely win with a single city, although you may lose it at some point.
But this is 0.984 we're talking about here... XD
Depends on your settings. Basically, I still crank out pioneers first but I need troops to expand out of the early areas.
Granted. Settings mean alot. I would imagine that most beta testers here are playing at a world/faction difficulty level of at least challenging. I think that it's really good that troops are required in the early game in order to expand. That's a plus. May I also assume that
Yes. (there will be more changes) and I mean early level troops.
Is there queue time going to be given, or accomodated for, building those early game troops? Some of the biggest problems I've faced in 0.983 is that troops were at the bottom of a long list of items that need to in that city queue: Pioneers Resource Improvements City Improvements <l
I have 6 defenders in a city. The enemy sends a single wilding to attack it and loses horribly. Then the enemy sends in a single militia and takes the city. You think that is a good balance? There is no reason to have defenders only work once per season. It's a bug and needs to be fixed. Currently I have to teleport multiple stacks of armies away to make sure they don't cheat. I also have to wait a turn before attacking again. It's a re

Yeppers. Auto-roads still have much to be desired for. Derek has mentioned that some fine tuning of the system was going to be looked at, time permiting. Honestly, I think it's pretty low on their list. It doesn't cause crashes, and there is a way to manually build roads...if your lucky.

I mentioned it before, but it's been awhile. Can we have a bunch of 'escaped' stories. Seeing the same one every time just seems too non-rpg. He was left for dead He bribed his way out He hid in a nearby patch of trees etc etc There is a thread that has a tonne of them somewhere...
Quoting mqpiffle, reply 253 I would prefer they made these spells level 3 and keep the 50 mana cost, but that is not their design goal I guess. I suspect they did this because there are times when people start in non-ideal locations and need to bridge themselves out of the bad spot. I was thinking maybe 10 mana would be sufficient for the purpose. Because you don't want people to game the map e

Thanks for the response. Was kinda thinking content was being held back with so few quests and items, etc. Really appriciate you confirming that.

I may not be as hardcore as some of the guys in the Beta, but I've been playing these kind of games for a long time and IMHO FE is no Civ V. Frogboy - I'm not sure if that's good or bad. I actuall

Yeah, I've mentioned that one; though it was with the opening book backstory. Clicking outside of the message box closes the box. Very frustrating imo. Should have to click the 'close' button.
Just make sure the wind doesn't blow too hard on your wildings and kill them all. Such a weak unit.
It's kinda similar to a 'slave rush'. Having 24 wildings running around taking empty outposts really pulls resources away from AI factions. Let's you build faster and costs them the difference. You end up winning via attrition.
