It would be nice to get some more information. I know things are busy, but communication has really dropped off as of late.
I think GalCiv 3 is taking up most of the dev's attention at the moment.

Also, 1.6 is essentially going to be released in conjunction with a DLC.
Wouldn't work in this situation? Have you tried it?
I would try taking out both the AutoUnlock and the Prereq from the ExNihilo spell XML.
For those of you reading this, the next DLC is going to allow players to have spouses. Kael has meticulously designed a spouse for each player (and to be honest, they’re way cooler than the sovereigns because Kael got to really go crazy with these).
It would be reeeally sweet if the sovereigns got some love with the DLC as well. Also, will the AI be able to handle the spouse thing? It still has issues dealing with some core features, so I have
I've thought of a relatively "cheap" but interesting way to have meaningful siege units. Specifically, units that do 2X damage when attacking a city. It would be easy to do and result in a new line of thinking of units (units that are useful in different circumstances).
+1 if you'll be giving units modifiers depending on the type of terrain they are attacking or defending.
1. How OFTEN do you want to see new DLC? (Monthly, Quarterly, Every couple months, etc.) 2. What would you like to see our NEXT DLC be? a. Stamps pack (for more random map generation interest) b. More tactical battles maps c. More magical spells d. New factions e. More loot f. More quests g. Something else (if it involves writing c++ code, it’s not DLC so has to be content that is downloadable
I'm still waiting to see if SD will sort out how city defenders are managed when multiple armies attack a city during the same turn. At the very least, surving defenders should carry over to the next battle during the same turn. Currently, the defenders just cease to be after the first battle. To be clear I'm referring to inherent city defenders, not stationed units.
speaking of which, would you guys be willing to give up the rotating camera in LH in exchange for a massive boost in performance and visual quality?
Hmm...this is one of the unique traits of the Elemental series that I really like and use often. When I play Civ V I often curse that I can't rotate the camera (but I still try!) However I could also understand the advantages of a fixed camera system, so I wouldn't b
From a tactical standpoint, it makes absolutely no sense to be stuck with the weapon you are equipped with if you have others available in combat with your Sovereign/Champion/Henchman. . If you get into a situation where a lone Water Mage champion equipped with an Ice Staff gets ambushed by an Ice Elemental, to be able to switch weapons to cope, say, to a possessed Inferno Staff or even a Long Sword. is better than getting slaughtered and forced to waste 5 turns immobilized in a city,

The tactical AI has evolved greatly over the years. While it may not be perfect in every scenario, overall it is really quite good, and can offer up a good challenge throughout the course of a game. If all that remains of the enemy are archers, or they have been engaged in melee, they are doomed anyway, so who they attack is pretty much moot. However, if they are attacking units that are less of an overall threat, then you possibly have an issue that should be repor
Why not make an optional DLC with whatever stuff that you think is great from E:WOM that can be optionally integrated into Legendary Heroes? For $5 you can EWOMize your LH. If you want as a game option.
I don't legitimately know that the devs could do this for a $5 DLC and have it be profitable, it doesn't seem feasible. Like HF said, it would take a lot o
Can't say I would be particularly excited to see a WoM remake, even with new bells and whistles. I'd much rather see E:FE:LH: etc. continue to evolve on its own trajectory.
I'm all for greater diversity of city defenders. You could even spice up the mid-late game Warfare and Magic tech trees with a handful of new techs which unlock better defenders.
The best thing about the minor faction(s?) was that you could purchase unique gear from it/them. I don't remember there being more than one mior faction.
Adding all of the possible diplo modifiers together (except family modifiers), I come up with a net -58. Basically this means the game is going to spiral into war at some point during any given campaign. I don't necessarily think there should be a net 0, but perhaps a little love to the possible positive modifiers might help even things out a bit.

The thread title says solved, but I don't see how?
I think the system is ok, maybe the numbers can be tweaked a bit, which an intrepid modder could do I believe. For instance, sharing a trade agreement or giving tribute ought to give a greater diplo boost than it currently does (unless, of course, the AI you're dealing with is purely an a-hole and would gladly take your candy then beat you up for being so weak.)
Civ V is a great game, but yes, you will shell out a lot of $ if you want to get the 'Gold Edition' with all of the expansions and DLC. There are quite a few Scenarios included if you want to stick to specific time periods. Another game of similar ilk but with limited time frame would be Europa Universalis IV. I haven't played the full game (demo only) but it is definitely a deep TBS that seems like could provide lots of hours of enjoyment.
The attitude position is like the level of water in a bucket and the -6 is more like a trend - whether the water is rising, falling, or staying at level. Therefore yes, you can be friendly but at -6: where the friendly signifies a current high watermark and the -6 signifies there is a significant leak in the bucket.
I understand this post is pertaining to Strategic AI, and I completely agree with the OP in that regard. However, the tactical AI could still use a bit of work, especially in regards to troop movement when they are engaged in a mass melee to take full advantage of swarming and flanking, and breaking though an enemy line to get to the second and third ranks.
