I would like to do this to make the map seem more open, rather than having the world seeming like one big metroplex by mid game. One would still have outposts
Grizzyloins
I would say there needs to be an option to have every bonus and/or every negative to allow someone the ability to make a faction anyway they see fit in their own 'world' - why have limits in tha sandbox
quests like: A villager comes in telling of how his small town to the 'North' was overrun by the Ogres tribes. He goes on to say that only in the last few fort nights there's been rumor of them having taken on a leader bent on expanding his lands. Now of course you can choose several methods of dealing with this menace 1- you can negotiate with this new 'Lord PummelFist', 2- you could pay another faction/independant to take care of them for you, 3 - you could do noth
aye, my spellin aint tha best sometimes
I don't want monster lairs spawning in my territory. That is not fun.
If you don't want tha b*st*rds migrating down from the North then send an army up there to take care of tha 'nest'. I"m just saying that without the ability to grow & become a menace then they're just temperary 'bland' bumpers. I say let them grow & have a leader & take on a story book
would it be possible to add more bonus/weakeness spots so that we can really make some advantaged or hugely depraved nations?
https://forums.elementalgame.com/417474 - I had a couple ideas here regarding neutrals/independants, I believe something like this would add so much to the 'World being alive' feel
I put all effort into city defenders for my one large city, rarely have an army leave tha city at all during the first half of the game. I would certainly like to have bonuses that reflect that. Maybe even have a way to have nearby neutrals that you've 'befriended' join in protecting your city?
thanks for tha vid, lots'a good stuff
I too miss them
If someone wants to play AOW:SM, go. Go now and play that.
But it doesn't have your ai!!! --- & no offense meant earlier, just trying to make E:FE have the best of all the others in one. I like to create my own game world using the mechanics offered, there was simply some really good mechanics that I fell in love with & just don't can't seem to picture battles being as fun/&/realistic wit
I have high hopes for E:FE, & have huge respect for Frog & company, but I will never understand why someone would purposefully choose to have anything less than an Aow:sm 'clone' of tacticle battles with tha Frogs Ai if your going to have tac battles in this kind of game. In any way was MoM's tac battles better?<--can anyone think of anything? (I honestly can't remember a single way that didn't have to do with racial abilities).&nb
ya I was in my 'mega' city turtlin, having knocked out several armies earlier I didn't pay any mind to this new army coming in, their army set off to the North for a few turns then came in... the first wave it turns out was easy, as was the next 4-5, then I started sweatin them, @ battle 10-11 I finally finished off the last of the huge *ss stack, only to have my well deserved victory party interupted by the next army coming into view. Thanks for

AI/Faction differentiation (see below), Tacticle combat (city walls with balistas/catapults, moats, archers on walls), spells I think giving the 'neutrals' (ogres, trolls, bandits, mites, etc.) of the world, that have a certain lvl of intellegence, the ability to have diplomatic talks & the ability to create additional camps would add alot of 'sim' feel & flavor to the world. I say we turn all these neutrals into 'minor factions' and give th
Ogres, wildlings, mites, trolls, bandits, etc. (neutrals)- Would it not be cool to have an isolated area where trolls or what not could spread to 4-5 camps, gain a leader and a couple under bosses, the camps all worked together under this one leader, allowing them to become a menace in their own right just seems like they could be so much more than just early game bumpers, this would allow for them to possibly grow into a late game horde
Can the neutrals be 'vassels' as well? So much can be done if we turn the neutrals into actual 'minor factions'. By allowing them there own chance to grow & spread, plus the ability to have negotiations, neutrals would go from being temperary nothings to an actual part of the 'living world' - I have a couple posts that explain this better.

I wonder why Gilden's 'freindly' meter didn't move after Mazy's death, are you still stronger than them or do they love you due to past deeds or other treaties so much that they don't care about your strength? I had a hard time getting others to like me if I was 'weaker' than them no matter what I did, frustrated me that I couldn't get an ally, even though I was giving them gifts of all shaps & sizes. oh, & if someon
war on terror?
I just saw a whole bunch of videos of Guild Wars II for the first time, I really love the way they handle the neutrals(world). Everything you do impacts the world similiar to like what we have in E:FE, only we have more diplomacy possiblities that can be added to our neutrals. Sorry for bumping my own post but watching them vids got my blood boilin again - my goal is to make the world more alive than ever
What about a bonus in relations for having the same race as another kingdom/empire? ("The Northern Orc tribes have band together & are pushing South into Giliad me'lord") - or could have a negative 'trait' that would make other's of the same race dispise you (For instance: 5 high dragon overlords with each there own army of draconians, jealous of one another & each wishing to enslave/destroy the others I'm not sure how developed the cave
