One added spell to the game that might make movement a little easier is a more powerful version of lower land that hits a 3x3 area to make casting it faster. This is suggested with the understanding that movement on flat land is faster than movement on hilly land or mountain regions. This will make it easier to create a road infrastructure between our cities etc.

The problem is a hero at that point has maybe 30 to 40 hit points and he is facing ranged units and spellcasters that deal more than 50 points a damage a shot. Against a human player those heroes are dead. After investing the time and effort to get the hero to that level of equipment and ability, he is still far too fragile and needs to somehow keep pace with the hp of the squad he is facing, otherwise he is just good for monster hunting and ai killing at this point. listen i really don't know where you are coming from. The man has admitted that he made a mistake in putting the game out the way he did and he has promised to fix it. Also a game in which i am playing now i bumped up my sovereign to have 15 charisma and i gave him the bard trait. This has enabled me to hire every hero i've encounterd for a maximum of 60 gold and a minimum of 6... actually a few hired on for free. I'm fairly certain that the roadmaster trait is working - what it seems to be do is increase the rate at which the roads become higher quality which gives you more food and faster movement along the road. I played a game where i gave my faction all the scouting and movement bonuses and i never ever needed to teleport anywhere.

I want to be able to uncover godzilla with the adventure tech. Then i want to be able to unlock through a combination of civ and war tech the ability to build mechagodzilla so they can fight each other. I want to arm my sovereign with a tommy gun. Also, I would like an in game interpreter. It should look like Helen Keller, and give me the advice i need in sign language based off of all the mistakes i am doing. It should be good advice that will enable me to win. actually with regards to the greek phalanx, it was well armoured for its time but it had limited offensive strength because they held the spears overhand above the shoulder which does not lend itself well to producing a lot of armour piercing power, so when the heavier armours started to show up, the phalanx got out-teched. I would like to second what Hellers1155 has very carefully explained. Without going into the problems of the combat or magic systems that other people have complained about this is a very important problem with the game. I find the Early game a lot of fun, exploring, building and fighting monsters. Mid-game comes at different times depending on the map size, usually when everyones borders are set and there is no more expanding room. That's the point in time where you have to make the decision

This crash happens at the oddest times, early games, late games, but it does have a few things in common. 1. sometimes a tactical combat occurs. 2. a unit moves into a town then out then finally stop where a caravan is located. 3. caravan stacks on top. 4. press end turn button. 5. crash. very strange.

Perhaps i wasn't clear in the manner i explained. lets try this: group 1 explores the coastline. group 2 explores an innercontinental forest. group 3 finds a mushroom ring in the middle of the great plains. next turn, cycling through are units: group 1 attacks and enemy city discovered on the coastline. I didn't want to put this in the mod section, because it became more a question in my mind about the interface. Would it be possible to have a hero stack visit a location which would start a quest, or activate a "doorway" which opens up the second map, be it inside a cave or somewhere else. I do have to say it has been easier to google the website. Instead of having to write out "Elemental: war of magic:" I have noticed that gradually you could leave out more letters of the name before the auto namefinder kicks in. Now all i have to type is "Elemen" and this is the first place that pops up. Not bad for three weeks or so. I feel there should be a martial artist style of hero available, perhaps with the supernatural ability to summon a talking panda to fight at his/her side. This hero should fight barehanded, but carries an umbrella, and have a high movement rate, yet has the tendency to become lost.
