I'd be happy for Frogboy to tell us he has deer running through his yard again. Its way too quiet.

I've got a suggestion for EWOM 1.4 (if you don't want to give it any more love): Open source.

The same thing happens to me at my software development company. The marketing department will ask me whats new in the upco
No. I'd rather have an interesting and fun single player campaign.
Please fix the wither spell. It seems to take out an army of units in a single cast, even when they start out with full hit points.
I have this same issue in 1.19b. I went into a battle where the enemy had armies and I didn't yet. I cast wither on their army units, and boom the entire army (which had full hit points) died with one cast of wither. I noticed the word wither appears like 3 or four 4 times above the units head with a single cast, which seems a bit odd.
Just a few things I've picked up since playing 1.19: 1) I've had crashes for the first time. This seems to happen right after a battle when I'm in cloth map mode and after the battle I zoom in. 2) AI heroes don't appear to use armor, at least in the games I played. They all had huge hitpoints and large attack numbers though. 3) The new select a unit dialog when casting a spell on a group of units is great. However, I cast flame blade, got the popup an
Is the contest closed? Its still the 31st! I was about to submit the winner!
Wow, I guess this game and review were pretty popular. Its on the front page of the one of our Australian news websites: http://www.news.com.au Direct link to article: http://www.news.com.au/technology/the-story-behind-dot-dot-dot-a-video-of-a-review-of-a
That put a smile on my face. Jon should learn from this UI, Elemental needs more space bar! Then it would be esey.
I think a good CEO surrounds themselves with good employees. Then it is just a matter of making sure they are happy and motivated. The CEO of my company is a mid-60s ex-programmer. He still tries to get involved in database design and code changes (when he hasn't learned anything about the software industry for 20 years) and often mandates that we follow his ideas. Then, because he is so pig-headed, we have to spend weeks arguing about why his ideas ar
Beans, beans, the magical fruit. The more you eat, the more you toot. The more you toot, the better you feel. So eat your beans at every meal. Now that I remember that old saying, aren't beans a legume? Magical legume doesn't quite fit the rhyme I guess. Mod request.
if id known the cutoff for the expansion being free was 12/31/10, i would have bought it a day earlier :/ lame
It's only been mentioned in about 500 posts. Sometimes you have to read s**t to know s**t.
crikey!
Screw Hawaii, Australiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Its only 10 AM now, I'll have all day to play! [e digicons]:D[/e]

I guess if I'm using a Windows analogy, I should actually say it is more like a service pack. Windows service packs have betas. Microsoft calls them hotfixes. And they actually recommend not installing them as they are not thoroughly tested. So, if you prefer, they can call it a "Stardock hotfix"
Anyone else think it's silly to call this a beta? Just seems to be strange to buy a game, and then 3 months later you are playing a beta.
I don't think its strange. I'm in the software industry and every time we make a new version of our software, we give it to a few of our beta customers first. These customers have elected to be beta sites so they know what they are getting into. If you are changing the functionality that drastica
The latest patch is a beta, people. Beta patches don't automatically get installed, you have to change your configuration to install them. If you don't want to be part of the testing process, then you shouldn't install beta versions. The problem is that people want lots of new functionality and they want it as quick as possible. This is what Stardock is trying to accomplish, but it requires the help of the community to make it work.
This is the kind of stuff that gets me excited about Elemental. This is awesome work, Heavenfall. I think the community is going to make this game amazing. (I'm still waiting on the official 1.1 release to give these mods a true play, but once that is out, these mods will be good fun) [e digicons]k1[/e]
Before you re-install windows, back up files that are important. I think a re-install will remove your "my documents" folder, so if you have pictures, music, or word documents stored there, put them on a USB disk or CD. Yes, you need to boot from CD. You may need to change your boot options to make sure CDs boot before your hard drive.
If Office is your only problem, maybe you should just try reinstalling that? I've had problems in the past with system restore and installed programs. I'm not sure if has something to do with the registry or registered dlls, but programs sometimes don't run properly afterwards. I had a virus recently (something to do with Microsoft ThinkPoint) and I ended up just reinstalled windows. But I know how much of a pain in the ass that is. You need to install
Oh man, I hate finding bugs right before a product release. But it's better than finding it after!
I fully appreciate that the AI changes will lag behind the rest of the work. You have to adjust to all the other game changes that are happening. Those spell changes would be very handy! Certainly would save some time moving your sovereign around the map.
