I want movespeed options like : Turtle (current) Slightly faster turtle (current + 50%) Normal (double current) Fast (3 times current) WTF (4 times current) Autowin (enables teleport) Though perhaps we need new numbers and some people may complain about the honest naming of teleport mode.

Yeah heh it is true, magic victory = conquest victory since you need t own the entire map to do it anyway.
Yeah, gates would be far better than teleport as you can abuse telleport much more easily (though gates would still be pretty abusable). Honestly though i would prefer to see high move speeds and no gate/teleport or at least the option to turn them on or off.

I wish we could set templates and select them for each city. That way you can properly specialize cities without having to keep looking at each city every few turns.
Yep, common error, if you have a 64 bit os and 4+ gigs of ram you should use the fix that a player made. I think you can find it on the mod forum.

It works very well in fact. 0 errors with the current version + this patch. (for me anyway)
The bug fix mod corrects it if i remember right.
If i remember right empire can do this without a combine. Though perhaps it has been corrected by now. They had 2 25% buildings and 1 50%.
Yeah I dislike comrade. I mean it checks your comp for all games without asking. I don't mean it shows games you bought from d2d and that it installed. I mean everything. Seems a bit invasive.
I don't mean during an auto-combat. I mean i fight the combat without losing any units during the fight. Then the results are shown and all my units aside from my sov are dead.
Sometimes i win a battle with little/no damage to my units, but after-words it shows the all as being dead on the results screen and i lose them. Strangely if there is more than one battle that turn with that group sometimes the next battle starts with units at 0 hp that can attack freely as long as nothing hits them. 1 hit kills them. Anyone else seen this happening?
I think they set up the popularity system to sell their premium maps when they start coming out. I am pretty worried it is going to kill the modding community for sc2.
I have SC2 but i am pretty much waiting till more good custom maps come out. To me melee is kinda dull. memorize a build, do it every time because you have to rush to compete ;/ Loved custom maps on wc3 and sc though so I am sure the custom community will come along.

I think the current plan to use specialist slots will help some with making map resources less important. Sure you will want them, but if you don't get everything you need you can stack all your specialists into that area.
Am I missing something? I just pulled out my box to take a look at the art, as someone mentioned that the screen shots were what was deceptive, not just the front art. Yeah, it is very easy to have 400+ max mana per channeler by the end of the game since you have to take droves of ai cities to find their leaders. It wont matter once they change the entire magic system though so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
It just makes sense to me. Have a town with 100 people in it? Well then you have 6 guys and a donkey working at the mine. Have thousands of people in your city? Well you can spare a lot more to work at and expand that mine of yours. It also allows for city spam for those who want to play that way, while not punishing those of us who prefer to play with fewer cities.
