I'm with lower initiative, too. Plus it goes well in defining a certain kind of Clumsy archetype, someone who is inexperienced or just uncoordinated in melee, but from a distance, with a ranged weapon they've trained in, can shoot well.
Glazunov1
I've seen multiple humble inns within ten tiles of one another in a game. One of them listed its quest as weak, the other as medium. I suspect there was just a cheap architect at one time hitting up innkeepers with pre-designed elements for matching floorplans.
Definitely not ready for primetime. They need to go back to square one, and do everything we say, then put FE out in another eight years or so.

The point being made is that accusations of an overpowered starting combo are ridiculous in context, because they aren't a big deal. Everyone shoul

I've been lobbying for this for some time. It would certainly make things much easier for the new player, giving them a handy list of spells to see in one place, so they can grasp how each spellbook is structured--its strengths, and weaknesses. And it wouldn't hurt to have available for easy access to the beta veteran like you, or me.
This late in the day, shouldn't there be more information when you're approached by an AI player who wants an economic treaty? If I were a new player, I'd have no idea what benefits I'd receive, much less the other player involved. The screen definitely needs more information. And why are we still seeing offers to trade 22 Civilization tech points for 22 Civilization tech points?
Ya, the treaty system was written
Thanks I think I see now! Is this because Pariden has the tomes and can get all magic paths but death to get all summons? Is there no Air Elemental? Is there a death summon?
Yes, Pariden can research the tomes, but with Pariden or a customized sovereign you still can't buy Life or Death books. You can only buy Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. I remember Brad writing something months' back

I don't find the arcane monolith spell overwhelming. You pay 50 mana up front for each, and it suffers from all the drawbacks of other outposts. In the early game, 50 mana is a lot that could be more effectively used as summons, city and hero buffs, and in combat, while in the late game you've got many big battles that require very mana-intensive spells. Of course, if you select dense resources and easy AI, you will be able to spam the thing, but that's your choi
No they shouldn't, and they won't. And seven exclamation points for a single sentence would be considered a felony in a more enlightened culture. If a very large man named Vito appears on your doorstep at 3 AM this morning claiming to be an officer with the Grammar Security Forces, it will serve you right.
No configuration is overpowered or underpowered. It's all how you want to play, and Stardock should leave these options available to each player. Want more of a challenge, or less? Good: that's your choice.
Threads for each AI? You remind me of when I'd play Sargon via external cassette deck loader on my old TRS 80 Model 2. If you wanted the computer to play its best, the documentation said, it could take up to 30 minutes to analyze a position, which it would of course only do once you'd finished a turn. So you might want to settle for a lower ply. Not fun times. ;)
Quoting Glazunov1, reply 19The most fragile of glass cannons. From what I see they're just glass without the cannon part.
Oh, the cannon part is the ability to cast all the spells your sovereign has. Not too shabby, if you go the Path of the Mage, and don't summon a familiar until much later. But since it will probably be killed off if you simply blink at the screen, it's likely not worth the bother.
