Quoting Glazunov1, reply 7 Stardock doesn't intend at this point to offer downloads of the final FE game code outside Steam. So...if you want updates, you'll need to go with the Steam version. Might as well uninstall the non-Steam, since it isn't going to be updated. I've seen no posts that say this, and in fact I've seen some from Frogboy that contradict this. IF yo
If you check Steam, you'll see it's supposed to release Tuesday. Derek was stating something along the lines of 1 PM Eastern US, but I suspect that's subject to change.
I initially thought maybe I would be intrested in the beta for fallen enchantress but WoM left a pretty bad taste in my mouth, so I had decided to hold off until the final version was added to my account. Think of it this way: Paradox has Crusader Kings II available in both Steam and non-Steam versions. It has to offer updates both on Steam, and elsewhere, because Steam updates will only increment game versions installed through Steam, and non-Steam updates have to be used for all non-Steam titles. Stardock doesn't intend at this point to offer downloads of the final FE game code outside Steam. So...if you want updates, you'll need to go with the Stea
So for steam users we do not need to do an uninstall?
Yes, you do. Because the updates will only affect games installed through Steam. Unless Stardock chooses to offer updates separately, outside of Steam, and I've seen no mention of this. .
Your non-Steam version won't get updated beyond 0992. So you will want to uninstall it.
I really thought this would be a doable workaround that could be implemented but it sounds like FE modding mainly consists of setting game constants in the XML and there is little to no condition checking or event spawning based on conditions or game variables. That's really too bad because based on all of Brad's posts over the years, I really thought FE modding was going to be pretty robust.
Which specific treaties really do expire? An economic treaty shouldn't, but I could see if a non-aggression treaty would, since the alliance would supersede it.
With what we call background unit stats, you can indeed tell if a unit has been injured. Stormworld does this and uses it to calculate other functions. But you can't initiate a quest based on that. There are only a few triggers for quests. Population level, turn number, goodiehut and item. So, you could have a building that unlocks an item in the shop. Using that item could start the quest. But you can't have a quest pop up when someone is in
I got it as well with Gildar and Altair. Made a treaty with each one turn, got the expired popup the next. However, the treaty still remained in forced.

Yes, but it appeared after all the posts, above. Thanks, anyway. ;)
Some of the sillier reviewers will have problems with the idea of a TBS, or confuse strategy games with RPGs. Doesn't matter. I'm pretty sure the game will do very well. Best of luck with it, Brad.
Just look at where it says "Weight: 80" on the item. I always check weight before placing something with one of my champions, since encumbrance is a big factor in initiative. You should consider checking that out all the time, too.
Assuming you have a final list of changes before release, this would be very helpful.
Yes, it's true: my love affair with Procipinee ended after her spellbooks doubled in point cost. Irreconcilable differences, you see. She went back to her mirror, and I moved on to custom sovereigns. These days I typically prefer a mix of the Light spellbook, with different backgrounds and traits, and a race that has Enchanters and Betrayers. If I was asked at wand point to choose a couple of lore-based rulers to play, I'd opt for Kraxis or Gil
Another good tool I recommend to all gamers, but especially those with 32-bit systems, is Iobit's Game Booster 3. It analyzes your computer's ongoing processes, and then makes recommendations for stopping those which won't matter while your full attention is on a game. Once you decide which recommendations to keep, you launch the game--and Game Booster closes those processes, first. It then runs your game, and after you've finished, restarts the processes it
You played on Expert, which I assume was your "world" setting. Were your opponents set to Expert, as well? How many were there, and were they of the opposite faction (kingdom/empire)? That has a lot to do with overall aggression, all other matters being equal. What size map did you use, and was it randomized for topographical features? What were the settings for density of resources and heroes?
