This bug has been in the game for a while, and it is still in the game. The AI spawns gold mines, twilight bees, lost libraries, quarries and other resources next to their first city. I tested this on challenging but it seems to work on normal and possibly easy as well. I refuse to play the game where the AI always gets an unfair advantage... thats not how I like to play. Please fix this in 1.1 it REALLY pisses me off that there is no difficulty s

I can't speak to your experience, but while my download from the usual Stardock store site took a long time, it went without a hitch, and installed perfectly. And I've been playing (and commenting on) the betas for around four months. I do sympathize, though. It's a large download, and a slow one. To go all that time with expectations of having the game in hand, only to find you didn't get it: no fun, at all.
Downloaded straight from my account at the Stardock store site. No problems on installation. Works fine.

We've been asking for air elementals for some time. Meanwhile, look for an update to the Goetia mod, being done by Seanw and Heavenfall. That will include plenty of summons.
They do appear to have taken it down, though the downloads from before are continuing. Which is odd.
Nice download speed, there, Heyhellowhatsnew. T3 line?
Yep. Four hours download, here.

No, it's not up. What you're seeing a last ditch attempt to separate out the lemmings from the rest, the people who will kill themselves in frustration when they can't wait half an hour for a free game. Friendly word of advice: If you don't survive until then, it's your own fault.
I think they meant EDT, not EST.
So how does it feel, Brad? Are you and Derek hopped up like super-caffeine junkies just on the pending release, alone?
Master of Magic comes real close but it has its stupid bugs and problems. Civ4 I didn't enjoy as much as I found too much focus and power in religion and culture mechanics. I actually liked Civ 5 more. I didn't play Civ4 with expansion and mods. I am hoping the 1.0 version of FE will be able to surpass at least AoW:SM, I doubt it can surpass BotF.
Didn't Birth of the Federa
First off, check out the manual linked at the top of the forum. It's a very good one, and makes an excellent read--plus, you'll find it answers most of your questions in great detail, especially those regarding how the various factions, traits, etc, differ, both in specifics and gameplay. Yes, they really do provide different playing experiences. Reminds me of SMAC in that respect. The AI has strategic issues at this point. It makes reasonable

Alpha Centuri was Sid Meier's way of making a Civilization game during the brief period in his career when he didn't own the Civilization IP. There's really no point in it now because they'd just be competing with themselves.
It's simple
Wow, this is big.
Give it time. The game had to be released now to hit for the holidays, but I'm pretty confident Derek and his time will be on top of things like this for some time to come. Stardock has an excellent record when it comes to balance issues and bugfixes.

Yes, it is beautiful. Still reading through it, but it's one of the very few PDF manuals I've encountered that deserves to be printed in color. Very nice detail in some sections, too. The tips at the end of several sections should be of real use to new players, wondering which factions to choose. Um, iron golems? Gilden has iron golems? I missed that. [e digicons][/e]
