At such times it's not a glass cannon. It's a paper one. Leaving it out of battles where

I find it personally an annoying event that seems out of character for a game trying to make your opponents feel "real." But each to their own.
Personally, I like swarming, and it really makes taking on wolves an interesting challenge. You're facing glass cannons: fast, dangerous to low level units, but with very low HPs. This means any units you've got that have higher initiative, and/or have "command" (make one other unit of yours move next, even if they've just moved), are important. It also helps to have stoneskin up and running, and it's good to have units with ranged magical attacks. Summoning a warg is a good t
I think there are some memory hooks the game doesn't let go, even after closing the app. I've had BSoD after exiting and reloading the game three or four times.

If you can't place units normally, it makes sense to give Commanders a moderate-to-high level skill that would do just that.

When it updates (which is sometimes considerably behind schedule ;) ) it autoupdates. So a player who has Steam running won't have to bother downloading an update manually. Cloud-walking. It's expensive, but it really comes in handy when you want to get the job done and get experience for it, too.
There's a skeleton event that occurs in LH, spawning packs of skeletons that roam around the map. You might want to turn down (or turn off) event frequency before spawning a new game if that's cause for concern. As for the spiders: yes, it's generally a good idea not to lay down a settlement or monolith near a lair/den. Most monsters will then start roaming around. The more intelligent ones will go right for you, and the others will probably do so, eventuall
