For those of you that may not know, it looks like the game is supposed to be released on the 19th. http://store.steampowered.com/app/232050/
It's greatly improved over the last beta round, but I have my doubts it'll make that date based on the current beta candidate. And that really isn't a big deal.

Reasons: beta patch access. Also to provide more profit for developer.
I'd add to this, from a purely economic perspective, anytime the chain of distribution narrows to a single conduit, control usually passes to that conduit, and technical

Since LH, I've seen no reason to get summons beyond the warg--if that. Divorcing summons from the spellbooks has made it extremely inefficient for me to get any summons, especially since even a half-decent one requires a large investment in upgrade points. Seems like summons have become pretty useless--but has anyone else felt and done differently?

Yeah, there are events that popup more enemies of different sorts all over the place, and another (red moon, I think) that raises the level of all monsters by two.
I tried the demo. I found the dialogue boring, the interface irritating and the art/graphics boring(not due to not being as good as games with more funding).
Then it's not the game for you. Age of Decadence's developers wanted to create a game somewhat along the lines of BG2, but with more attention to interactions between characters and between characters and groups. So relati

Are you aware that there are already events that include invasions? One, for example, overruns the map with tons of spiders. Corpse spiders, if I recall correctly. Might be others. In addition, if you're playing on normal or above and place a settlement that pushes back against a wilderness area, even if it's on the other side of a mountain range, they *will* invade your territory and try to demolish that settlement.

Looks like the date for the third beta has been pushed back. Not for the first time; so just don't hold your breath. Sign up if interested, and do something else in the meantime.

However, based on the demo, it's a tough, unforgiving RPG, in you can't spread your experience points everywhere and expect to win. And although it's been said before, everything you do does have

Thanks for the quick response, Derek. I'll try turning down anti-aliasing, though as the issue only occurs in turn updates, rather than map scrolling, I have to wonder whether it's something else. I'll do a reboot, clean out any registry issues I might have right now (Windows just installed some updates), and see if that helps. Didn't *see* anything stuck in the registry, but you never know.

Just tried a new game, again. Huge map (as before), three opponents, randomized terrain. Same problem. Now before someone points out, I know the game is going to take longer to update on a huge map than on smaller ones. My point in turn is that it's gone from 3-5 seconds to being unplayably long. At this point, I'll just have to wait for the next game update before getting into LH, again. At least I've still got FE installed.

I take it you're not seeing this? Because right from the start of a new game, turn updating takes 20-30 seconds, where it used to take 3-5. I'll start a new game, and see what happens.

In .75, I had none of the BSoD that occurred with moderate regularity in .50. That's continued in .80, but updating after I've taken a turn require a much longer period of time to finish. And during most of it isn't possible to move, so this isn't simply a cosmetic change with an hourglass substituting for the arrow cursor.
From my perspective stardock can go two diametrically opposite directions. A: Continue to obfuscate everything that has to do with experience. In which case, get rid of the after-battle report. The information there is pretty much useless. If you don't want the player to strategize and min-max experience, then don't show it to us. Heroes will continue to level semi-randomly, meaningless b
beta keys are being sent out this friday.
Would be nice, though there have been repeated delays in getting these out. I'd rather see the game at a good stage, then at a poor one, so if it takes longer, that's fine with me. Anybody who wants the beta should consider adding their name to the beta sign-up thread in the forum.
Sorry Glazunov1 but your advice is not that good. Money and XP are two resources in this game. Crystals are always in abundance unless you play wizard as 1st char and spam spells. Best play is the one that produces most money in least turns. Exploring your province first is a waste or turns. Human provinces are easy targets, so are barbarian ones. Orc ones as well as well as Undead ones. Those you should conquer as soon as possible. More provin
