The item description do not list information on mana requirement to use it. as it was: I've started a game in the immediate vicinity of ruffians and an ogre (banished one probably), I've taken down the bandits and found a bottled fire item - "will do 16 damage" cool I thought. When ogre attacked in his turn, I tried to use the bottle. insufficinet mana was the result. next combat turn ogre got lucky and oneshotted me. frustrating...<
The bug is still present in 0.981
Hmmm, perhaps it would help if the group size has a downside: - 3 person group: + 0 initiative - 5 person group: - 2 initiative - 7 person group: - 4 initiative - 9 person group: - 6 initiative
good idea, also large groups should have -dodge, throw a knife at the crowd or shoot an arrow, you'll always hit someone - 3 person group: + 0 dodge <b
I've been playing Warlock since few days. I've started it as a more shallow version of FE, dumber, prettier. It's VERY similar to civ v, with hexes, upt, selfdefending cities. Their research part is mystic - I can't find a clue to it. The UI is just more clunky younger brother of civ it has a feeling of unfinishness to it ... and yet it is fun ... I don't see this game become MOM, or even fantasy Civ V I'll play few more games and th
On other thought: seanw3 observed in another thread that one of Stardock's most significant accomplishments to date, with E:FE, was in creating a gaming engine that was unusually open to modding (for details, game-play, and content), and for future customization. Frogboy has said something similar; along with his intention to make this Elemental Universe, as open and accessible as possible.
Well, this would be the point in the beta where we see if the game can succeed. Beta 5 started out kind of rough, but as long as it is an indefinite cycle, I am not too concerned. I don't think anyone at Stardockia thinks the game is ready for release. But let's jump on them it if they do. Don't want it out in its current state.
Haven't seen that hard written anywhere, but my gut feeling is that the aim is to get the
I'm not sure the people here understand how Beta5 works. Beta5 is locked down so that all these bugs will get fixed. They have stopped adding new content so that they can fix all the bugs without having to worry about adding new ones. Beta5 could last a long time, like months, and still be Beta5. There is no reason to have a Beta6 because since they are in lock down they won't be adding anything new. Length of time doesn't determine the
I've made posts and asked in them to have single line of developer reply - 'read your post' got no reply, but still I one or two of my bug reports got repaired when I got Frogboy/Derek attention. then only way to have it fixed is to report them multiple times, and gather some support to bump the threads past few pages of replies. the idea of public read only bugtracker has been proposed and dismissed by the devs at least once. read-write was
shrills aren't too intelligent, I hope that their bigger versions are though and would focus ... naah that would be too much to expect ;)
try running the game with /nomultisample command switch
Wow, that's the spirit.
Another fairly known issues still not fixed, and deserving another bug report. It's enough to press Microsoft+L or ctrl+alt+del or wait for a screensaver to start, the game will freeze. debug.err file (very short, as I didn't even started a game to get this) http://db.tt/D4PdJGcp Let me assure you that this is a game breaker for me and many others, that cannot allow themselves to sink into the game for man
I know this can be fixed by using /nomultisample switch on startup, but the solution is known since two releases, the game should by now identify the issue, and turn off whatever it means to multisample if it cannot display the 3d models ingame (actually the problem is with the backgrounds behind the models, as they only disaapear on windows/screen that have backgrounds behind them. btw. antialiasing level doesn't matter on that issue.
Yep, reported several times (actually after each beta release I tried). Known issue since very begining.
Quoting Bingjack, reply 6 Armor is stronger than weaponry and the max attack shouldn't go down to 1 so quickly. That's the point I'm making.
Especially with the amount of hitpoints you gain with levelling. once your units get hundred HP, the 1 point attacks get meaningless. not sure if the formula should change, I like it, but the trained units should have
The real problem with champions is not that they stay alive. It is the problem of fighting with repeatedly turn after turn when you are on the offensive, with them being increasingly useless due to the wounds they gather.. Wounded heroes shouldn't fight. If the city they are recuperating is attacked they should be withdrawn without fight to the closest city. If you allow them to regain their health so they would actually pose some threa
If you happen to have missing 3d models (like during new game starting) when starting the game on default. run the game with /nomultisample switch. whatever it does, it bring the 3d models back to the game.
try to check your resolution i n options menu. if it is set to something specific try to reset it to desktop. helped in my case.
Both of you are correct.
Hi, the spell was supposedly be castable only on trained units. I've just seen Magnar's champion cast it on golem. save: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/28216465/fe%200.951/AutoSave.EleSav you'll probably need to attack Magnar couple of times to verify this
YES !! everythings seems to work :D I believe that the change is in the backgrounds. they weren't in the build I was seeing them last. and just to confirm: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/28216465/fe%200.952/FallenEnchantress_1346275112.jpg
No changes. EDIT: at least no change in sovereign on the starting new game and while trying to view monsters/champions in game. design work like previously.
One thing, I wasn't aware after two years of play is how much influence is worth. I usually guess it is worth some 10 gildars. well, boys and girls it is not. I just had a war with Magnar. I took three of his cities. he reclaimed one of them and with strong army headed to crush my steamrolling champion. plus he launched a small army to claim my other undefended city. complete surprise on m
