Hey there, I tought, that some of you might be willing to chat over fallen enchantress game. Myself ... I miss the multiplayer, for two reasons, one is to have human player challenge, second is they interaction with other players during the game. I guess with the builtin chat capability, I could as well use it... I am not that often online (I quite often play without net access or in a firewalled environment), but when I'm o
Do these factions replace the original factions or just get added in with the original factions because I just downloaded this and put it into the correct place and when I load up the game, I only see your factions, none of the original. (I also just put in sean's mod to try it out) Maybe I am just too tired right now and am missing something.
Sean's and HF's mods are incompatible. Use one or the other
From the frost giant bloodline: Frost Giants may only ride Icebeasts and Dire Bears
I know, I meant blocking the buy&equip button in the shop window in such case, or at the very least allow you to keep the horse in the inventory even if you can't use it. as of now the money just disappear.
HF, I had a frost giant champion, there is small problem with it I clicked buy&equip in the shop on the mount (horse or anything ) The cash is gone, but the mount do not appear in the inventory (and is not equipped obviously) I didn't notice it at first and clicked again.. effectively wasting most of my wealthy early cash :D not sure if you can do anything about it
why does it need to be placed in game folder?
HF, on 1366x768 the longer spellbook place itself over the top of the screen, can you make it autoadjustable to the screen height?
HF, could you extend the small terrain description box to the size of new minimap? would look better probably
That would be a little too much.... completely random sovereign would be too inefficient probably - there is just too many variants, and the available list is long enough (especially with HF mod) plus you could always extned it if you fancy custom sov. for now for me the list is too long, I cannot decide whether to play Verga (for those juggernauts) or Ceresa (for the spiders) or maybe gilden (for the golems) arrrgh... ;)
I got but one easy request for 1.01 allow random start. Usually I spend half an hour pondering on WHO will I be playing tonight - I swear I got some decision making constraint in that aspect. If there would be an option to randomly select one of the existing sovereing and decide remaining settings based on previous game, effectively starting a game with two clicks (new game -> random start) please
Having now 1.0 I decided to try some mods. How to load yours Sean? I cliecked the OP links, but they sent me to the google docs decriptions rather then the mods themselves. Are they somewhere in the thread ( I admit I didn't read through the 9 pages) or are they bundled with Stormworld?
it was spread, because you can't beguile twice (happened to play ceresa today, so I had a spider on my own to web and beguile) but you can web multiple times, and here is where the bug is
or a smaller install files... my connection is breaking today (I swear Murphy is at work, it NEVER happened twice in any week, and today it breaks every 20 minutes :( ) spent last few hours on retrying and still waiting ... hopefully stardock central is connection proof solution
Not sure if this is reproducible 1. I rushed the water altar and got the elemental 2. I've went to the altar (it was in the outpost few tiles away) and clicked upgrade. 3. the shrine was immediatelly upgraded to shire and I got another elemental instead of upgrade being added to the queue
Not much (and too late) but still. I agree with OP. There should be more endgame fun. Mopping the floor isn't fun. level advancing and item loot IS fun. Also this should help AI. they do kill themseleves off. having the loot drop from champions equipment (or gold/metal/crystal from killed troops) will help them to finally stand against the player. Right now they throw loosily equipped champions with some occassional good item against well equipped champion,
Supposedly fixed. It isn't. Gives DX invalid call instead of freeze and crash. I'll update with debug.err when possible (it's blocked in my network)
What's wrong with the idea of visually outlining on the strategic map the monster aggravation zone? Would it disrupt the immersion too much? It would make a perfect strategic decision then to take a shortcut, or to take a round way. It's simple, it fixes multiple frustration problems and it actually adds to immersion IMHO "Oooh, I can't close to that dragon too much or it will swoop upon me". The current messages from the monsters do just that but in
I'll go ahead and compare: Mage only shard bonus, shard giving bonus to duration of buff/debuff spells 1. Does it match the games focus? yes, magic is important for this game and so should be mages 2. Does it solve a problem? it resolves a problem with mage path being comparable in buff/debuff magic to any other class, and it nerf non-mage spellcasting ability. In overall specializing in magic give you good magic, specializing in non-
Re mages and their purpose. How about enabling the bonus from shards only to the that take path of mage? ie. no mage, no shard bonuses at all. also path of mage should give a significant spell mastery per level to have those curses more efficient and all the buff/debuff spells should be timed. especially haste, blindness, shrink and growth but give them longer duration as the number of shards grow
Fixed a hang if you use Ctrl+Alt+Delete while playing
I can't believe I see this in the fix list.
1. Yes. 2. No. 3. Yes. 4. Yes. 5. Yes.
Thanks. I largely agree with the items you have listed but at the same time I think most of them could reasonably be design choices by Stardock. Design choices I disagree with perhaps but that is their choice. Whereas my goal was to list items which couldn't reasonably be explained as design choices. I don't think it is likely that anyone has written into a specification somewhere that "the user shouldn't be able to see t
freeze on screen saver/windows logon screen
Derek - three issues 1. freeze of the game on windows autolock 2. AI sovereigns starting with path of warrior/assassin at the start of the game 3. AI sovereigns not properly leveling up (warrior path developed for mage type sovereigns) and AI not properly equipping heroes (most specifically buing dozens of same leather piece)
AI sovereigns start the game with two paths selected Warrior path and Assassin path (at least on challenging difficulty). I assume it is to give additional edge to the AI sovereigns. There are two problems with that. First, the challenging difficulty is about best algorithms for the AI but no bonuses. this clearly is a bonus. Secondary, the AI is so badly needing bonuses, that I am not againts giving them anything they can use (on hard and above)
Now that you mention it, there are a lot of monsters that aren't present any more (or like extremely rare compared to others). Fire shrills? Naja? Obsidian Golems? Shrill lords? Air elementals? Crag spawns? Earth shrills? Meanwhile, I'm drowning in Ophidians.
I got lair of umberdroth in my game, fairly far away from the capital.
