I wasn't talking about L5R, I was talking about how the anime culture has influenced video games these days to further objectify sexuality. Pick up any such game (Final Fantasy) and you will find that NO female characters wear anything resembling armor (or sometimes even decent clothing). Or any male characrters for that matter. O_o
Simply switch around the Easy and Insane difficulties, since each seems to be the opposite.
Which EB Games!?!? TELL ME NOW
Perfect, except Air could have a utility too, it could create Desert tiles or something.
Alright, putting it better would be saying look at what the Japanese anime culture has done to the gaming industry, which was what I attempting to say.
Nick, geez, get with the times, we use snowmobiles now. On a more serious note, not only are the preorders missing here, there is not a boxed edition to be found. I live in Toronto and I've looked around almost every single store that even MIGHT carry PC games, and there was none. And I visited maybe 14 different stores.
I'm going to pull a Captain Obvious and say they REALLY need to have polished this game more.
Yeah, an AP system would really help this game's tactical combat out a lot. Like in the old Final Fantasy Tactics. :D
Argh. Look at what the Japanese gaming industry has done to the world.
And thank God for that.
Part of the reason why it may have failed was the fact that there is nary a copy to be found in retail. Brad, next time, make 100% sure retailers will actually put the game in stock before you release, and not to mention polish a bit more.
Okay, I like that you guys are dedicated to fixing the magic system, but seriously, removing spellbooks from character creation is a huge mistake. Now a caster-type Sovereign has to wait to advance their technology to gain the spells they desire. This is a real downer when it comes to player immersion and the whole RPG aspect of the game, because it doesn't FEEL like you're some uber-mage, since you need researchers to find your spells FOR you. How lame is that? Also, I heard about a
Well the point system as it is kind of nerfs custom sovereigns when they're compared to regular pre-made sovereigns, but in future multiplayer matches, it would work well against another custom sovereign.
I'm going to take an impromptu course in XML modding (since I already know HTML and Visual Basic, it should be easy) and make Elemental: War of ZOMBIES a reality.
Seriously, the practicality of such garments would kinda ruin the immersion factor. It would be like Final Fantasy now, when 50% of the female character's body is showing yet she resists a punch from some giant demon-angel thing.
Elemental: War of Zombies? Hmmm, that's a good idea for a mod...
I think it's an interesting system, a welcome change from Civ's produce-as-much-science-as-possible-till-ICBM "strategies".
I've been playing NetHack. Seriously, try it, or at least try the Vulture's Eye add on with better graphics, it's the most in-depth and interesting dungeon crawler I've ever played. And it's legally free!
Actually, most feudal lords' armies consisted of people who had little to no training, and were thrust at the enemy, with a medium percentage being the knights and middle-class soldiers with armor and better weapons. So you're both wrong.
It's the fact that half the features are broken/disfunctional/useless that the game seems like a shell. When the update in September is released, I'm pretty sure you'll find the game is much more a full game and not what it is now.
Apparently if you do not select the elemental spell books at your sovereign creation, they are nearly impossible to obtain in-game.
