No, I don't lke the Disney death option, it's too much like Mount & Blade, and if I wanted to play Mount & Blade, I'd play Mount & Blade. I think they should take the Total War approach and have it so that the enemy's remaining settlements become rebel settlements, in this case maybe minor factions.

I completely agree with the whole corpse issue. However sadistic/cruel it may sound, I like being able to see the carnage left over after my dragon ally cuts a swath of destruction out of the enemy ranks.

Yeah, the expanded conversations would be a good feature to add.

You won't have piles of manuals if you simply put it back in the box after reading, for eay reference. Plus, me being a paranoid person, I prefer to have physical copies of my games readily available in case of anything. Online security only goes so far. Physical media is eternal (I take ridiculously good care of everything I own, my game consoles and computers last for at least 5 years longer than many averages say they should), however, and I have no copyright hassles for playing LAN on my

I would assume the patch may not go out on Tuesday, since Tuesday is when they're reviewing it with Quality Assurance, not necessarily releasing it. If there's something wrong with the patch, the release may be pushed back. Now, I don't doubt Stardock's programming abilities or anything, but I'm sure we've all had experiences with Murphy's Law.

So, as a Canadian player who likes buying the retail version, I've both posted about the troubles with your distribution in Canada, and read stories about poor distribution in many places, including the U.S. I just want to know exactly how this could happen. What role does Stardock play in the distribution? Do you use the same 3rd party to handle it, or do you guys have a management team or something? I'm not trying to flame or troll or insult you guys or anything, I just want to know exactly

I had a great idea (or so I think) for new types of diplomatic functions in the game. First of all, there needs to be more resentment between Kingdom and Empire factions. Make it so that it is much harder for a Kingdom to engage in a peace treaty with an Empire, and vice-versa. Also, trade rates between Kingdoms and Empires should be ridiculous (like they are now for EVERY faction), or at least above average, to represent the emnity between them. Also, to solve a dispute between two warring f

Yeah, don't forget the mysteriously-missing traditional method of using an axe and unpaid labourers.

Lol, if I ever was a game developer (this scenario is quite plausible), I'd give some serious shit to anybody acting like that. No word of a lie.

Lol, true enough, multiplayer has been around for quite a while, but until recent days multiplayer meant playing with a friend in the same room or over a LAN. I'm talking online infrastructure multiplayer, which has surfaced only recently. Developers realized that they could make people pay for this coveted resource, and thus figured they could make people pay for more than that too, they could remove side content from the game and release it for extra. Multiplayer is overrated anyways.

Brad shouldn't take shit from these people. I think he needs to adopt a more serious attitude, I mean, many people have been treating him like garbage recently, and all he does is lock the forum. Just tell them, "Make your own f***ing game"! Brad's been way too lenient with the community, and thus the community has developed this ridiculous idea that they can insult and order him around. A more totalitarian approach is needed.

I'd rather have a single player game that's fun and polished than a multiplayer game that sucks. I really don't see why multiplayer is such an important feature to include these days anyways. In fact, multiplayer and the rise of the internet in gaming has led to the ever-accursed DLC and DRM.

Actually falconne, this system is in fact a BBS, forum is only a term that has risen in the past few years to define this form of messaging, implying that you're allowed something as silly as free speech on it. The nerve!

Hmmm, I agree with everytihng but the talk about no pre-decided battlefields. Medieval II Total War was an amazing RTS/TBS and it had non-random maps, which were simply decorated to better reflect your surroundings/seasonal time of year. Despite the fact that I'm playing on the same maps every so often, it's never the same battle twice, since I can look back on what last happened on the map and try to rethink my strategies in accordance to what I did wrong last time and what enemy I'm facing

Lol story, I personally dislike story in RPGs since it diverts attention from the important parts of the game. Look at The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Most people who played it avoided the story for hours and hours, and after logging in about 80 myself I have yet to progress beynd the mandatory 1st quest in the game. Story really isn't necessary. If I wanted story, I'd read a book, preferrably by Robert Jordan.
