When I cast fireball with Cynryk, it uses the mana cost for the spell and after the one turn cast expires nothing happens, I just get him highlighted again and never get to cast the spell, it's as if I never casted it. This only happens the very first time I try to cast fireball with him, if I cast it again it uses the mana again but after the casting time expires I can actually fire off the spell.

During a battle I charged up fireball spell, before that spell went off I sent a guy into the middle of the mobs to attack. Once the spell went off I was not able to complete the casting of it because if my guy was in the area of effect I would get the message that it must target enemies (my guy was in the middle of them all and there was no way to target a mob without targeting my one of my guys as well), if I tried to cast it at a blank area of the battlefield I would get the same message.

Sorry, can't remember the name of it but it's the one where you go through up to 4 battles to gain a magic sword at the end. Anyway, I completed it and alas, never got the sword. *cry*

I also reported the deal with Abeix, were you able to kill him? If so were you able to colonize his lands after? I was not able to colonize his lands after killing him.

Was in a battle and had 3 units, one horseman, one melee and one archer unit against a single Skagg. Skagg killed my horseman and melee however my archers finished off the Skagg, after the battle my archers no longer existed and were never damaged during combat.

Initiated a battle with this Abeix guy and I could not seem to cast any direct damage spells on him, I always got the "tile is blocked message" while trying to target him. I had similar issues with my melee guys, most of the time it would say "tile is blocked", I was able to hit him once and am not sure how, maybe there is only one tile you can actually melee him at a time. Either I do not know how to follow instructions or there is a problem with being able to complete numerous quests. I enter the location that contains the quest (with the scroll over it) I get the quest objectives, can complete those objectives but when I'm done I go back to the location of the person that issues the quest and nothing happens. Like I said, this has happened to me on multiple quests and I'm pretty sure I've completed the objectives (kill bandit, rescue hostage and r

Thank you very much Gunnergoz, I did catch at some earlier time to turn off the view pre-release but I thought at that time it would automatically start catching the new updates and it never did. I kept trying the check for updates button but never tried the validate install button. Thanks again!

Just an edit to the above, I did the Alt-Tab thing and click update from that menu and it tell me I have 1.08b[b].092 installed and v1.08.037 is available. my choice is to update via impulse. When I choose that Impulse pops up but nothing happens and I cannot manually update via Impulse.

I'm a bit confused as to what version game I should be at. I'm currently at v1.08b BETA (indicated in lower left corner of Impulse). Every once in a while when I run the game it will tell me a Major update is available and I should get it. It says it includes many new monsters, quests, spells, etc... I click "get update" then the game closes and nothing happens. I open impulse and check for updates and it finds none. I check the forums and I see indications of a version

Can the "pass turn" button be moved away from the cast spell buttons? On many occasions I have went to push one of the spell buttons in the gui and accidentally clicked the pass turn button located right next to that spell.

Regarding treaties, I see no way to determine how much time you have remaining on current treaties. Knowing when an anti-aggression pact ends would be very helpful in planning for that factions destruction. Also, I would suggest being able to cancel a treaty or at least cut it short from within the Foreign Relations panel. Maybe with the effect a a relationship hit with the other factions for cutting it off early?

This is my first NEW game under this build and I have not played long, about 100 turns....Started a game this morning and saved. Loaded the game up at lunch and as you can see in the lower left portion of the screen shot a "city" appeared in the ocean that had the same name etc. as a city I had already created. I have no idea why certain characters cannot wear certain items. I get a generic message 'this does not fit unit' many times when I would think something should be usable, like boots on a human. I would suggest adding text to the item descriptions that would indicate who is eligible to wear certain items and/or an indicator when purchasing an item that shows that the person buying it cannot wear it. Also, not sure if it's by design but I was able to equip more than two magic rings. Mo

When given a quest with an objective in another location it would be nice if the map zoomed in to the target of the quest objective. For example I pick up a quest to go to "location" and liberate it. I find myself zooming out the map and then scanning with my mouse pointer over everything hoping to find the location that I am supposed to go to. Sorry if this has already been mentioned...I find it very difficult to distinguish points of interest (discarded bags, abandoned materials/huts/etc...) on the map. It would be great if these could maybe have a glow around them or some color or something to help point them out. I find myself hovering over every little speck just to see if it's somethin I can pick up or enter.
