At least this will stop the pioneers spamming new cities when you have destroyed one. I like to fence in my opponents, so this could be an interesting change, we will see (soon hopefully!).

Liking the look of a lot of these changes. XP splitting will hopefully stop the stack of doom, but why can't xp be split into two parts in battles? Part one is an amount of xp depending on the opositions strength and split between all units & champs who take part and survive a battle. I've had this quite a bit, usually after crashes as well. Sometimes it takes several attempts at running the game before I can re-launch it. One time I actually had to alt + tab to bring up the login prompt and re-enter my username & password before it would finally work. Andy.
Not sure of the name, but it is awarded after some quests. It looks like a round jug and has a red ribbon tied around it. I have had it twice in one game and healed typhoid and a gangranous hand on a couple of champions. Andy.

Same here and there is also another quest involving slavers where a hero joins you (forget his name but he's red!) and he is the same. Looks like you have to collect a rainbow of pointless hero's - maybe a master quest of some sort? [e digicons]:P[/e]
Uprgade to a city no, but it would be nice to have a slot or two in an outpost for defenders to be stationed, or allow hero's to rest and recuperate.
Hi impinc are you sorted yet? I have had problems in the past with redundant registry entries (from failed installs) stopping programs from being reinstalled. Now although I will have a go at fixing most PC related problems (sometimes with the help of the wonderful Google - ahem!!) the registry can be dangerous if you are not sure what you are doing. Ahh that explains it then - face palm! By the way it does it in 0.75 sometimes.
Thanks again Kris. Unfortunately I have no way to move files from my works PC to my home PC. I think I'll remove FE when I get home and try reinstalling the whole thing again from the previously downloaded 0.75 version and then see if the 0.76 patch will go on. Ok done a bit of digging on Google. Apparently the software "Visual Patch" created by a company called Indigo Rose has issues with Win7 64bit (the 2.0 version does). But the 3.5 version is compatible if you want to spend $395!!! I have never downloaded their software, so why is it using it to try and patch this game? Did everyone else use Visual Patch? Because no one else seems to be having problems. Just my bad luck - again lol.
Hi guys, I'm having trouble with the beta update. Been running 0.76 for a week so downloaded the beta update. Opened it up and got the following message from visual patch "Software Not Found - Elemental: Fallen Enchantress could not be located on your system. Re-install Elemental: Fallen Enchantress and then run this patch again." I really don't have to uninstall & start all over again do I? Comments anyone, please?
Don't worry Xia, you may not get an official invite, but you will still get into the beta. Just check Stardock.com and it will show up at the correct time. Right I'm back again, but a lot happier [e digicons]:grin:[/e] I went back to a previous restore point (only 5 days ago) and tried installing again. This time all went swimmingly! Probably didn't work before because when I tried to remove the first corrupted installation it left something in my registry that wouldn't allow me to reinstall. 4 attempts and failures now! I tried to remove the partial install from my first go which seemed to work. Now I run the most recent copy I downloaded and it seems to extract ok. The install aware wizard runs, but then I get the following message "Are you sure you want to uninstall the selected application and all of its components?".
