Some good ideas here. I guess shard power would round down, or maybe halves could be used if there was room between +1 shard power and +2 shard power etc. in terms of damage done. Probably most shard multipliers on spells could handle the halves between integers (for damage spells anyway).

Still, I appreciate the goodwill in WinMonster2 sharing a way that has been helpful for him. [e digicons]|-)[/e] [e digicons][/e]
Well-cooked as in properly cooked to a good recipe - not flambee chocolat. ;-)
But if would definitely be cool if Stardock decided to throw a custom Linux distribution curveball... ;-) Stardock doesn't have to do everything MS expects considering how totally uncool and uncaring it is being to practically its entire user- and developer-base with its current monopolistic actions.
Yeah, especially with squishy but high damage units like wolves. You might want to tweak the auto-AI code for that too (but it would probably still be a good idea for fights against Monsters and Ruffians to have them advance maximum number of spaces even though the human's auto-AI-controlled units wouldn't).
Great stuff!
Sorry, to the ordinary Stardock user, edits to OPs are hidden (whereas edits to other posts aren't, except perhaps if they are by admins). =)
Oh, and thanks for shortening the title, Doc. ;-)
The latest we have from Brad is that it "should" be out this Thursday Stardock time. If it doesn't come out then, it will come out some period of time after. =)
I want an alternative to Steam because it could easily go bad for consumers very quickly. And any game (particularly primary single player) that is reliant on a web-site service to be played at all is at the mercy of whether that web-site continues to operate in the same way or is sold to less "discerning" owners. =)
.... to have an easy to use and developer-friendly alternative to an Apple/Microsoft "Pay Us 30% Of Your Income" Duopoly? I certainly would! [e digicons]:D[/e] And Brad has already said Stardock is capable of it! [e digicons]:star:[/e] [e digicons]:sun:[/e] [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Maybe Stardock needs to provide the easy-to-use Linux distribution, as Stardock has said they are capable of in the OS thread. [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e]
The best we'd be able to do is create our own custom Linux-based distribution
[e digicons]:wc:[/e] And boy, in Australia don't we know how anti-competitive duopolies are in practice. ;-)
What is that in real income?
I like these ideas, UmbralAngel. [e digicons][/e]
But isn't Microsoft's idea of W8 that they get 30% (or whatever) of all money made from any W8 programs?
I think it's a good idea to not do any pre-orders for games any more. And if you think that one might be great, still have another think about whether you want to take the risk. There's not much you gain (apart from rubbish DLC) and a lot to lose with pre-ordering any game these days.
Better a well-cooked chocolate cake than an old chocolate chip cookie (although admittedly, I'm hoping the next beta will be soon, too =)).
Derek, Frogboy and Co., there are some good ideas here. :) Hey you could rename Stardock that! Lots of people would LOVE a name like Derek, Frogboy and Co. (obviously not including me :P) Or should that be Frogboy, Derek and Co.? ;) NOTE: Just in case you can't detect that very faint note of sarcasm, I am not serious. Or am I? No, no, no, Stardock is fine! (though they don't just make Space games and Space-managing applications now ;)) The
Or is that a "bootload" of fail? ;) I agree. Anything that gets you closer to "booting" W8 is a bad thing. So we need to W8 for 9 and give W8 the boot. =)
I think current FE Beta is heaps more fun than WoM was (any version). Since it seems that they will keep developing it until it is really excellent, I am very hopeful for the state of the game at and after release. [e classic]:)[/e]
So, yeah, definitely sounds like a bug, and hopefully it will be fixed for Beta 4. May be to do with saving and loading between getting the wildlands quest and completing it.
Me too. I'd rather individual publisher control than one distributor controlling everything. Effectively, you don't have uninterruptable usage rights of the games you supposedly "purchase rights to use" - even if most report usage hardly gets cut off by Steam, it still happens, applies to all games in an account and is a point of great power (and future potential abuse of power) that Steam has over the contents of every single Steam account. The indi
You can be positive and realistic at the same time. In other words, looking forward to good stuff but not getting too upset if it doesn't happen all the time.
I would pay extra not to use Steam - I'd much rather have the option to have a good offline SDC game, then have to scrub another game off my list. And I would be very disappointed if any primarily Single Player Elemental game was made Steam only.
I'll say this: I really hope Stardock doesn't go to mandatory Steamworks again after Rebellion. You should be selling the g
