Yes Frogboy, make some other threads for the other points.

Would be good if you could make a formula and apply it to specific units to alter their basic stats (at Level 1 or later levels). This would include defense (of any or all of the three types), element resistance, spell resistance and spell mastery, and of course HP and initiative.
Good points.
Maybe Yithril blood should give a negative to defense as well as the bonus to strength and attack.
I didn't get any political ads.
I'm talking about the wanderers and the creatures that are produced by a lair but are not the ones which are guarding the lair from being looted.
I must have posted a fraction of a second before you, Frogboy. =)
And Sean - it would be good to be able to edit intelligence for existing creatures too.
But you don't currently need to go into Wildlands to win the game, so it might be good to have the monsters a little more savage in neutral territory too. Btw: aren't Umberdroths Beasts? If all beasts go walkabout then no wonder units like Umberdroths can take you down really early in the game.
Frogboy, they need to get into a frenzy on their turf too, "not just maybe". =) So within their current patrol radius, they should be very savage against ANY unit, city or outpost that is placed on their "turf" that they stand a good chance of defeating. Could you do something like this, and implement ideas from this thread? I think this would be a great way of making the world feel more alive, without having the bigger monsters go on rampages too early. [e digicons]:d[/e]
Great ideas! [e digicons]k1[/e] I like the idea of getting a chance to "retrieve" a city before it is savaged to death. =)
I would agree with that, but there also needs to be a way to prevent the powerful monsters going walkabout too early in the game. How about keeping on increasing the radius of monsters as the number of turns reaches certain numbers, and/or allow a monster to extend or go outside its radius (do you think extending permanently, or a temporary "stretch" would be better?) if there are juicy snacks for the monster? But again, it should probably be a smaller amount for more powerful m
This sounds like a simple solution worth trying if they can't think of anything better. I think they call the option in AoW "Produce Goods" or something like that, of course FE doesn't have to use identical terminology. Anyway, I like the idea. [e digicons][/e]
Reposted from https://forums.elementalgame.com/429787/get;3211003 . I'd rather that monsters (within their "turf" or maybe can attack cities or units, but not outposts, one square further) always attack outposts, and also take a slight risk in attacking cities or units, then just have a random chance of attacking so
Oh, I guess the reason VCMI bugtracker doesn't get too much spam is because it is a niche freeware product for Heroes 3. But thanks Kryo for this good explanation! [e digicons]k1[/e]
Yes, Stardock really do need to put a block on AIs building in places where it's obvious that human player shouldn't, and never can. And while they're at it, put a block on more than one Burning Blade on each eligible unit. Go on Stardock, I know you can do it! [e classic]:)[/e] [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons][/e]
You have some good ideas here, DexCisco. [e digicons][/e]
Even if you just used a bugtracker like Mantis, wouldn't setting up a bug tracker have a far greater benefit on how good the game turns out (which has a fair deal to do with nailing all critical and medium bugs and almost all minor bugs) than the effort to set it up? I vote to have a bug tracker, and I would report bugs and read the bugtracker a lot more than I report bugs and read the forums for bugs currently! In a world that is so about money, even people from companies who do get around to saying sorry sorta try to blame it on something or someone or other. Brad/Stardock has been better than most people, companies but he and it are not perfect.
Since there are three sizes now, and most agree on medium size being a good compromise, I would say optimize it for medium. If later on we have big 64-bit maps than that would be the time to make changes for the 64-bit version.
I think monsters (stronger ones especially) should protect a certain area, and if disturbed, attack anything it can beat or destroy within it. It makes sense that a monster has an area it protects and only really gets angry within it.
I was saying that it should do that, not that it already does. I was agreeing with you. =)
I agree totally.
Yes, since unexpected loss of internet is ALWAYS a possibility, Steam should ALWAYS default to off-line mode when the internet doesn't work. And it should not download ANY updates until off-line mode is turned off, MANUALLY.
