I pretty sure research overflow still works though. Or at least, if you get a research bonus, as long as you don't quit out it applies the remaining research to the next tech you pick.

But it would not necessarily be hard to add, and it is a balance issue, so it could still be tweaked. EDIT: I agree with you, Parrotmath.
No, the second 0.98 update is known in some places (like the download installer) as "0.981".
Does this bug still exist in 0.98 or 0.981? I haven't seen it yet, but that doesn't mean it has necessarily been squashed.
Seanw3, I suggest you change the thread title too, to show that it now works in an upgraded version. I almost decided not to worry about this thread because I thought it hadn't been updated yet, and others could easily make the same mistake. ;-)
Except isn't making an alliance really far into the tech tree? Also, I think the stuff in post #8 could work. Some items are so expensive, if they had an extra 20% or more added to the purpose price based on predisposition, it's basically out of reach. And I would also add the ability to set our own predisposition, so we could make ourselves appear hostile to certain nations (probably at a penalty to their relations with us) so they couldn't buy our stuff. <
Could you make the price be more the worse the relations are, and no selling at all when the other player is "Hostile"? (Cheapest, maybe same price as own stuff for allies' shops.) I think this would make sense, as when you are on better terms you are more likely to be generous with your pricing, and you are hardly going to offer your equipment that could be used against you in an upcoming war.
Anyway, it was just a suggestion. Doesn't matter whether it is implemented or not.
Maybe give the enemies extra attack rather than extra hitpoints at higher difficulties? So World Difficulty for Monsters and Ruffians and AI player difficulty for AI players, could be +5%/+10%/+15%/+20% Attack for Hard/Expert/Ridiculous/Insane respectively. That means they would do more damage in a shorter time, but aren't just hit sinks. And in a way, slightly greater attack is easier to believe than double or triple hitpoints (you need to give a proportionally greater
All I can see is that this better be a long beta with lots of versions, or I can well see FE failing at the final hurdle. It's not that I'm being unduely negative, but don't you want FE to be the best game it can be? We do! If both newbies AND pros are virtually universally decrying the 3 turn minimum building/training time, WHY ON EARTH IS IT STILL IN? Derek, can you imagine Civ IV and Fall
You can make a custom race with Legacy of Serrane race trait, and when you get to Mounted Warfare, you will have the ability to buy Warhorses in all your cities and even design troops with Warhorses. =) The only way you can get Warhorses without Legacy of Serrane is by enclosing a Horse resource inside a city's boundaries, and then you can only buy them for champions, and only in that city's surrounds. You can't give them to regular units without Legacy of Serrane.
Monsters in(/from?) wildlands are supposed to be immune to Tarth's ability.
I think for the Plaguelands all you need to do is pick up the goodie huts. I don't think there is a requirement for the Plaguelands creatures to be wiped out, just that all the goodie hut locations are removed.
Didn't they take away the ability to customize pioneers because of bugginess?
I like these ideas, Gorshmak. [e digicons]:sun:[/e]
Different people like different things in a game. That is how I would put it. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
The Guild Wars 2 Trading Post works quite well though - and I like how they implemented paying for upgrades and changing between gold (game money) and gems (real money). Upgrades don't mean you instantly win, they are mainly for conveniences and you still need skill to do well at the game.
Hopefully that will come. =) Never know, if you don't look for it it might never come! ;-) [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Because they are getting beaten practically all the time even at high difficulty levels?
What kind of builds do you need for the Ascalonian Catacombs?
It is usually pierce attacks that ignore armor (pikes, bows), although there are some cutting weapons that do too. But I think pierce attack always ignores armor to a greater or lesser extent, depending on the weapon. All this means is that a certain percentage of the attack roll is added without being reduced by armor. So if you had a pike that ignores 66% of armor, that would mean if the attack roll was 15 and defense roll was 10, 10 of the attack roll would be applied plu
Totally! Stardock, since I know you are full of great and talented people, it is totally within your power to have the City Details screen come up when a city level-up occurs. I look forward to this welcome improvement! [e digicons]|-)[/e] [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons][/e]
No, you don't need to know the story of the first one to play FE. And if any part of the story is important (which I don't think it is), it will be mentioned in the FE campaign.
Yes, it would be very good if faction-based traits could be made mutually exclusive, and for Stardock to set it up so Natural Leader and Cruel can't both be picked by the one sovereign. (It is already possible to ban certain sov traits if another one is selected.)
I think the people who get FE free just get Stardock-based keys. I think it is possible for Stardock to convert the key to a Steam key, but it is up to them and they are not obligated to do it. Of course if you REALLY like the game and want to support Stardock you can always buy another key on Steam, like some of the people on this forum are doing.
