Maybe they have events around the country - and move around the monsters for the competitor to fight, but you can visit any location. Kind of like a chain store. =)

Can you perhaps make Guarded Strike a 100% damage strike? Because of the way defense works, it can provide only about 1/4 of the damage frequently compared to a normal attack. And since Guarded Strike has a cooldown, I don't think it would be OP.

Yes, I think this would be the case. If you capture another city with it already built, it doesn't get demolished, but if you raze the city it adds 1 to the count that you can build. I don't see why it can't be if number of Towers of Dominion (or whatever building) is greater or equal to one (or any other positive number) no more are allowed to be built, rather than incrementing the counter when a city with the building is razed. Derek, is this feasible?
And they get more than one level from the spell that makes the hero increase a level (and gives the sov -5 hitpoints). It's like all level or +XP increases are done as XP increases and thus subject to XP bonuses.
Yes, it has seen to be a worrying pattern - for something that has been implemented, without being changed much, is discarded without being tweaked. The old case of the baby out with the bathwater... :-(

Yes, that's the thing missing from Elemental modding capability that is in Civ4: deep access to AI and UI. Currently modders of Elemental can only tinker, they don't have the AI/UI access that Civ4 has.
You can re-arrange the first five queued items, but when there's more than that it becomes difficult. You just click and drag it to the one you want it to be in front of.
At level 3 a fortress gets the choice of Impulsive, Charge or Endurance (+1HP per level) to add to units. It just simply adds that trait to all units produced there (for no extra cost apparently). There's also traits for the Empire's Warrior's Temple (Bloodthirsty) and a Kingdom building (Emnity) which are both Fortress buildings.
