Maybe the devs could tweak the code. I don't think much has been changed to disable it, it might just have no access to the interface currently. It might be worth doing, to both have a trial run to see if the feature works, and also to see if a well constructed dynasty system is popular in case it might be used in a future Elemental game.

Unit traits can act differently from champion traits, even if they have the same name. So it would be quite possible for units to get a penalty from medium or heavy armor and champions, because they are champions, don't. They would still be restricted to the armor they have proficiency with though.
Good ideas, Naidrev.
I think Admin III change is an overnerf. It wasn't a no-brainer path to go down before, now it's a no-brainer to go down the other path, or to pick Loremaster for the +6 research (and don't sages/cloisters/libraries buff that +6) One of the nerfs is probably sufficient (I'd say the level prereq is the way to go, not nerfing the impact) If I had my way, Admi
I take it you mean 2 new versions in the last three weeks before release. Yes, it is pretty impressive. =)
Hmm, it's not good that we still have these sorts of wild bugs and release is only around the corner.
Gee, this game is getting released soon?
I think the biggest stack is only six, but yes, I do think it is per figure, not just per unit.
Yes, I think they have thrown some things out too easily. The way you work at improving a particular mechanic affects how well it turns out, but a lot of it has thrown the baby out too. If you don't do a good job improving a certain mechanic, then of course it won't work. It doesn't mean the mechanic itself is flawed, just that the improvement process is flawed. Everytime you throw out a mechanic that could work, you essentially go back to square one.
Yes, it certainly had the potential to be a masterpiece right when the beta started, but Stardock has just not given it enough time to become so. I do think they are releasing it early.
Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit. Note that I have had this with two, or perhaps three or more different mouse models. My current Settings file: [Setup] SkipIntro=1 ResetPrefs=0 DisplayWidth=1024 DisplayHeight=768 UseDesktopResolution=0 Fullscreen=1 HardwareMouseCursor=0 Multisample=2 AmbientLight=5 Brightness=45 Contrast=47 AmbientLight=0 SpecularIntensity=100 GfxForceTnL=0 GfxForceNoBump=0<br
I've noticed this almost as long as Elemental has been around, but I wish I had reported it sooner. It doesn't happen in other games or programs.
With parrotmath doing almost all the work, there is no good reason not to do it if at all possible! =)
I've restricted my Facebook use to a moniker (not related to Steven Aus) that I use very rarely to communicate to one of my friends who is hard to contact otherwise. But other than that I don't use it. I might log in two to three times a year, maybe one more in extreme cases. I still use emails and forums a lot though. A well-moderated forum that encourages sharing and prevents most griefing is more than worth its weight in golden Stardock trophies. And
Why not give a customisable hero/hench once the game has gone through all the pre-programmed heroes? So you could choose the skills, Path and items (within certain constraints) for an x level hero/hench. As a reward for getting to a high level of fame (you attract the heroes you want =)).
There is only one tile which is settleable. If there is any city too close to it, it prevents it from being settleable. So you need to check yours or other players' cities to see if any are too close to the wildlands.
Derek, could you please change this so that the game calculates cost per figure, then charges this per figure added plus a gold fee per figure? We have been asking for this for a while, and the solution suggested in this thread seems the most logical and best, and prevents gaming the system.
Maybe he has more than one or two heroes in his army.
It may be the same bug that prevents Quest Map quests from appearing in old Wildlands territory, or being able to teleport into old Wildlands territory. It is considered "occupied" by the game, even after clearing. But you still walk into it and plonk down pioneers.
Yep, not even Stardock is immune to the curse of releasing things early to patch up later. :-(
I have been able to get AIs to surrender, but I always have the surrender threshold on "Often". You need over 3 times their faction power, usually, depending on how stubborn they are.
Thanks for your willingness to help the cause of a great game. [e digicons][/e]
Agreed that this is something Stardock need to come up with SOME sensible solution to.
Great name, too!
You (or the AI) can do it even if they don't have Stealth.
