I agree. Even if they have to integrate with Impulse, they can and are obligated to make at least a 1.40 archival disc because they made it clear to all that they would make an archival disc. It is essential for this disc to be produced if Stardock is to continue to be known as a company that keeps its promises. Best regards, Steven.

I agree. A well designed and integrated quest editor would overcome the problem of running out of good quests. I'll give you a +1 karma to emphasize the need for a good quest editor (and it's time to get back in the habit of giving out some more karma too =)). +1 for a well-designed and integrated quest editor for FE to keep quests fresh! I'm sorry to hear that. And yes, there's nothing more you can do for WoM, you just must have been one of the unlucky ones whose update really mucked something up. But just to make sure, it might be good to check hard disk integrity and all that jazz, just in case something happened there. Give Elemental a break for a while, if you still want to in future you can try FE, otherwise all the best with all your gaming. =) Best regards, Steven.

Yes, there is an Elemental directory under My Documents\My Games of the user you installed it under. Then there is the main program directory, which by default installs in "C:\Program Files" (or "C:\Program Files (x86)" in a 64 bit Windows). And a directory in C:\ProgramData (mine is still C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic" because I haven't reinstalled Impulse since Gamestop took it over, I guess the directory would be "C:\ProgramData\Gamestop\Elemental - W

And we have only been trying to find a cure for cancer, well, since everyone started getting it. We've been making a lot of progress haven't we, a cure is always "just around the corner". Best regards, Steven.

Are the AI players going to be attacked by wandering nasties? That was a big break in immersion in WoM - undefended pioneers having all sorts of monsters just walk past them, while the monsters head for the human player. In the more dangerous world of FE, it would be even more immersion-breaking to have AI players left alone by neutral nasties, purely because they are AI players, while the human player gets attacked without fail. Best regards, Steven.

Well, Doctor Who has been going so long, with so many people involved, that there's bound to be a few paradoxes. ;-) And personality clashes. =) Best regards, Steven.

The old "but I'll have to kill you" bit. =) Best regards, Steven.

Yes, that makes a lot of sense, and I think something similar to what we were all trying to say, just in a varying way. WoM is what it is. Best regards, Steven.

Sorry about that Heavenfall! And I agree that there are lots of bugs, and they need to be fixed before people will get on board. Best regards, Steven.

It would be good if we could take a survey about how much fun we're finding the latest patch. It is hard when you've made a stuff-up (such as a really bad release) and tried really hard to fix it but no-one seems to care. However a big part of the problem is that there's so much that needs to be fixed that even if you fix 25% or 40% of all the remaining bugs in a patch there will still be a lot of bugs left. It is up to Brad what he does after 1.4, but there is j

Yes, I disagree with the above quote by Frogboy too. Just call a spade a spade and say that WoM has so many problems with it that you've decided to work totally on FE. That would be true, and people would understand making FE a fantastic game since WoM just has so many problems with it that they're almost not worth fixing. Best regards, Steven.

Yes, Windows 7 was finally an OS from Microsoft that worked pretty well out of the box, although I did hear that there were some teething problems with the 64-bit version. I think the fact that Windows 7 was pretty good, MS-wise, has made many wary of making a big change to an OS with lots of changes and thus much room for all sorts of things to go wrong. Best regards, Steven.

I think the default setting for auto turn should be off. Too many people have been caught out by it (including me right back when I first played, before I learned to turn it off). Best regards, Steven.
