That makes sense - guardian wards cost mana upkeep, so having too many means you won't be able to cast many spells. And starting with no tech knowledge was a big problem in base WoM. Thanks for clarifying. Best regards, Steven.

Are Brilliant Sovereigns supposed to start with 2 Tech Knowledge? In Expanded Factions, White Wizard at least starts with 2 Tech Knowledge. Is that intended? Best regards, Steven.
I would tend to agree with Thormodr. Make single player great first, and then provide some excellent Multiplayer at a later date. Since you don't have to have multiplayer on release you may as well take the time to do it properly, after succeeding at making the single player experience fantastic. Best regards, Steven.
Play the After the War mod, which also has a lot of bug-fixes and balancing, with (now sub-mods) Artifacts and Expanded Factions. I have been starting with White Wizard, who starts with 2 Tech Knowledge per turn (not sure if this is right, whether it is meant to be 1 or 2). On the turn you found your Capital, buy and equip Traveller's Boots for your Sovereign, and start building the Tower of Dominion (or the Kingdom equivalent). In After the War, the starting Farm only
Will there be a user-friendly and integrated quest editor, and the ability to easily share and swap quests? This would be fantastic for the game's longevity and fun. Best regards, Steven.
Will the AI be doing quests this time around? That would make a big difference in breaking the human/AI dichotomy, where the AI players were noticeably different from the human players. That, and having a more intelligent AI rather than HP/Monster Immune/Production/FoW cheat etc. megaboosted AI. Best regards, Steven.
AI players can have more than one Guardian Ward in the one town. I can provide a save if need be. Best regards, Steven.
I think there are countries requiring the monitoring all ISP traffic, and if too many copyright violations happen the people can be sued by the copyright holders. Now, the only way you could measure if copyright violations are happening is to monitor *all* ISP traffic, and this raises huge privacy and power mis-use issues (just who decides what is "right" for people to access?). But it still won't be very equal - I very much doubt that China will be implementing copyright infr
Hmm, some good ideas here. [e digicons]k1[/e] Best regards, Steven.
I'm not getting special maps for dungeons when playing White Wizard (mostly on Arctic terrain), and using your latest updates I can still escape from dungeon levels. I'm very sure I have installed the files to the right places. Do you know why there are still the above bugs on my computer? Best regards, Steven.
How do you make sure the custom battlefields are being used? I have them in the tactical maps directory, but I don't notice much difference to dungeon battles. Btw: dungeons have underground trees. Best regards, Steven.
I didn't seem to get any Tier 5 dungeons in my game, even though I think I've researched all Notable Location triggers. Best regards, Steven.
Well, in WoM a single bear is a fearsome sight - for it can level an unguarded town with just one swipe of its paws. ;-) Best regards, Steven.
I guess this is an Elemental Dev Journal because it involves the Elemental FE Team, hmm... :P [e digicons]B)[/e] [e digicons]|-)[/e] A "family" that has fun together... ;-) Best regards, Steven.
I wonder how many people will buy Windows 8? Best regards, Steven.
Sacrifice doesn't seem to be working. It takes off the citizens, but it doesn't add any mana. Also, is there such thing as Tier 5 dungeons? I'm up to Notable Level 6 but I haven't encountered any T5 Dungeons yet. It would be great if you could fix the few new bugs reported and make that technology for +50% mana per shrine! =) The Dungeons are really fun, however Tactical Regeneration is very helpful. ;-) Best regards, Steven.</p
There needs to be a counter to the Steamroller effect otherwise games become very boring as soon as you get going (more cities conquered, means you can conquer even more cities and even more, etc.). Maybe there needs to be a very defensible home base that takes a long time to conquer usually. Best regards, Steven.
What do you think would be a good number for mana output per turn per Shrine? Best regards, Steven.
Remember the Rock Spider has levelled to Level 4, and the Sovereigns are only Level 1 atm. ;-) :P Best regards, Steven.
Well, I didn't intend it as as argument actually. =) I just find I can't cast spells as much as I'd like to. And yes definitely, I hadn't factored in the shards multiplying Magic Power. The stat points put into Magic Power *do* matter, as you say. =) Best regards, Steven.
What Magic Power would a Sovereign have if he put 12 stat points into it, starts with Magic Power of 105 and has 3 Shrines? Even though they can be very powerful, I find the biggest limiter to spells being the amount of mana you can accumulate. Regular attacks aren't limited in this regard. Best regards, Steven.
Is it worth it to put your level up stats in Magic Power, when you could put them in Strength or Constitution? After all, you need +100 Magic Power to double spell damage/effectiveness, and 10 full level-ups would only provide +30 Magic Power where you could instead get heaps more HP, or increase Attack significantly. And when you're getting to around L8-10 or higher each new level requires huge amounts of experience. And each Air/Earth/Fire/Water Shrine is worth 5 full
Yay HOMM2 (or fheroes2 ;-)) FTW! =) Best regards, Steven.
When your Sovereign gets defeated and there are no other units in the army, you still get the infamy penalty. Is there any way to code to avoid this if you haven't left any troops to die? Best regards, Steven.
Yeah, bears and bandits leaving whole towns instant smoking ruins tends to spoil immersion in WoM... so if there's a way to get certain creatures in FE to attack more without necessarily resulting in the catastrophic and instant death of the whole town, that would be excellent (as well as helping people not to feel they are getting attacked "too much" ;-)). Best regards, Steven.
