Although what about forests that are cleared or mountains that are flattened, if those things are possible in FE? (I think at least the former would be.)

You need the original data files for fheroes2, but you can buy HOMM2 Gold from GoG.com ($US9.99) which gives you them. HOMM3 Complete from GoG.com ($US9.99) and (freely downloadable) WoG files give you the files necessary to run VCMI. Of the two, I would say that fheroes2 is in the more playable state, however the AI is in the process of development and improvement. Exploring maps, especially with the new features and

Or fheroes2 for HOMM2 (mod, added features and bug fixes for HOMM2, requires original data files, which you can get from GOG.com). Also in progress is VCMI for HOMM3, which aims to rewrite the HOMM3 engine, not just add to it with skillful hacking like HOMM3.5.

Yes, I would like a comment on Satrhan's second question too.

Yeah, I think you're right. But one thing about politicians, no matter which one/s you vote for, they are all bound to be politicians. But the marine sanctuaries thing is Federal, and needs supporting by people in all states and territories. And I believe this is a good chance to do something about the problem of overexposing *all* natural environments to damage - we don't need to save it all, but we do need to save enough.

I feel upset and somewhat concerned from this statement you made, Jafo. It was something which I thought was beneath you. I do not, and I sure you do not, enjoy or like being put in a spot where I get lumped into some sort of group of "crazies" (and I would think it more likely than not you have experienced something like this in the past too - and if so I do not logically know why you would like to perpetrate it on others). And you being a moderator has nothing to do with y

Hi there, I’m making this post because I’ve just made my voice heard for protecting WA’s unique marine life. I’m concerned because the Federal Government is about to fail our marine life in critical marine environments off our Northwest Coast, places like Ningaloo, Shark Bay and the Kimberley. This plan for new marine sanctuaries was supposed to protect areas essential for the survival of the endangered flatback turtle, whales, whale sharks an

[quote who="IronKaiser" reply="12" id="3025524"]As an aside, there's one part of Frogboy's post I don't exactly get. The wild lands "are chunks of the world that are still trying to hold on to the pre-cataclysm days." But lore-wise, wouldn't the pre-cataclysm days be days filled with civilization and the dominance of humanity, IE the opposite of "wild lands?" Wouldn't the wild lands be thriving in the cataclysm era and resisting the return of civilization brought on by the

So what percentage of FE games will we get powerful enough to take on Wild Lands successfully?

Ganhialf, one thing you would need (apart from other system requirements) is a video card with access to Pixel Shader 3 or higher.

Heavenfall implemented Dungeons in After the War mod (Artifacts sub-mod) for WoM 1.4. Best regards, Steven.

Everyone makes mistakes, and sometimes it takes us a while to realise it. Doesn't mean they did it deliberately. I am cautiously optimistic about how FE is going/will turn out. =)

That was unfortunate. What do you mean by that? Was Reply #6 a reason for mirth, or a reason to feel sympathy? I'm leaning towards the latter, but I may be wrong. (It has happened before. )

Winnihym - I think the Stardock forums are one of the few places on the Internet that you can actually get to know people in a (somewhat :P) mature environment. I'm glad I didn't leave when I initially planned to after the bad Elemental launch. PS: Sometimes you just do things because it seems right. And sometimes, even if you know the theory of how to run a software company, doesn't mean you have the right attitude and the right insight to do things best and l

I'd like to compliment Brad on being such a real presence on the forums. It's nice when you get to see what he's doing, and a lot of the way he's presenting Fallen Enchantress stuff seems like he is on the right track for FE, "show, not tell". And he can admit to when he has gone wrong and change the way he does things if necessary. But really, how often do you see *ANY* CEO admit they have ever done something wrong, or could have done something a lot better
