Yes. I retracted my request to have details or a patch released. It will be great when the patch is ready if there are very big improvements!

Good points.
I think I would agree with Das123. =) But it would still be nice for us to know approximately where you at, with regards to bug fixes, other improvements, and work-in-progress stuff. =) More dev journals or sneak peeks are always good!
Look forward to the next patch when you're ready to release it.
Is it really a big worry if you release a new beta and you get slightly more than average criticisms? After all, as Barrynor says, even a perfect Beta will get loads of criticism. =) Release a changelog, give as the goals for this version, and allow us to check out the new fixes. Do you realise, you might be even getting loads of criticism NOW for not having a new beta release after two weeks when the previous time between releases was 1 week then 1 day. ;-) I don'
Has anyone else got similar errors? AlLanMandragoran is there a possibility that are hard disk errors or it's on its way out? Other than those possiblities, I don't know what's causing your errors.
Please don't delete, there are some good ideas here. =)
Looks interesting.
Works fine with 32-bit Pale Moon 9.1 Portable on 64-bit & 32-bit Windows 7 Pro. =)
I like the idea of Encumbrance being a stat too (if it's not too difficult programming-wise), and of Dexterity adding more damage to ranged attacks or some other good bonus/es. Anyway, it's good to know that these sort of things aren't complex programming wise, and they can be implemented if Derek decides they would help balance the game better. I think a lot of us thought that these sorts of things were in the category of "big fundamental changes" and not "possible ba
Stardock, could you please make a sticky in the FE Support forum saying that 0.77 saves that have techs unlocked from quests currently corrupt saves after getting them, and that this is fixed in the next patch? It is being reported a lot, and I don't know of any other current reason for corrupted saves apart from techs unlocked from quests (and maybe some saves when low on memory, however I've found in this case it just crashes without making a save). It would be a huge de
Use LastPass. That's fine for the moment. =)
This would eliminate new bug reports from reloading within the game, and allow you to concentrate on more important bugs and issues. If you could get FE to quit itself and load up a new version of itself without the previous game's info would be even better. I now know no longer load or start new games from within a game, and it may be a good idea to enforce this to prevent the memory being used up problem. Even if you don't re-enable it for release, it may still be

I successfully managed to complete a Large map, and explore all the land area, and barring some errors when capturing cities I was able to play through to the late stages, and the saves did not become corrupt. This is on a Win7 64 bit Pro system with 4GB of RAM. I deliberately avoided the Arena quest (which gives Legendary Weapons) and the Quest that gives Legendary Armor, as these corrupt any save games after getting the techs unlocked. This bug should be fixed in the next
The game should not require space on intermediate squares or cities if there are enough movement points left and they are not stopping on the square, unit or in the city.
Remember, Fuzzy's from a different planet. ;-) :P
Certainly it's possible.
Well, I would suggest you wait for Fallen Enchantress, the second Elemental game, to either be released or available in beta for new pre-orders of FE. See this thread: Do I get Elemental War of Magic? or wait for Fallen Enchantress?
Have you done the quests to unlock Legendary Weapons (Arena) or Legendary Armor? Those are known to corrupt saves made after getting a Tech unlocked. That is fixed for the next release. Have you unlocked either of those Techs from Quests previously in the game?
I don't think it would be "hurting" melee units as such, just making them less all-powerful for one type of stat investment. What about using Constitution for carrying capacity, ie. "Endurance" rather than Brute "Strength", perhaps add some percentage decreases to certain stats for different levels of encumbrance and horses not adding much (any?) extra encumbrance?
Does that mean upgrading regular units will be cost efficient in the next version =), or just that the AI with bonuses will do it more often? ;-)
But Derek doesn't post as much as you do. ;-) Question is, based on what you know, are any of the above changes possible before release of FE?
[quote who="Frogboy" reply="128" id="3080850"] Quoting smakemupagus, reply 127This sounds really promising. I was a little worried about some of the "no big changes" posts in past couple weeks -- flashbacks to wom beta -- but this post and Brad's recent posts gives me a lot more confidence that this time around you guys also see the remaining rough spots and have the plan to fix them. I think the biggest thing we run into with regards to "no big changes" is th
How about a change that you can't use roads in enemy territory? This will be especially important if roads are placed automatically between all your cities.
