I'm willing to bet that life is going to get a lot better for a lot of people, really soon. And no, I'm not going to describe exactly why. For those who are unsure or ambivalent, why not wait and see? Life does not always get worse.

I have removed the two iobit programs I had on my computer (Smart Defrag and an old version of Game Booster) based on this thread. It even seemed to block the install of Auslogics Disk Defrag Free, unless I got a bad download. But I deleted the relevant registry entries (iobit) and used MoveOnBoot to delete the iobit folders before Windows 7 properly starts because they seemed to be blocked from deleting once Windows had started. ;-)
Also, Iobit programs don't uninstall properly. And a funny thing is, I uninstalled Iobit Smart Defrag and tried to run Auslogics Disk Defrag Free and it doesn't even run. Seems that their practices have got a bit dodgy. I wonder how long it has been going on, or whether it is just coming to light now.
Editing the minimum distance requires editing some core XML files or perhaps creating an XML edit file from the Mods folder. It is not an option in the game interface.
The yield numbers on a particular tile already include the yields from all other tiles around it - basically the yield of a particular square is what you get from that tile and the eight tiles around it. There is a minimum distance between cities that is enforced (which is actually quite low currently) and I think it can be customised for the next game you play.
This means that at a minimum in the 2.0 update, is to release these features and factions properly balanced and tested. There's no reason to add all the new features if the core game has unfinished elements. Brad and Stardock, I suggest you release the 2.0 game with all the features you've talked about, plus the ones DsRaider has talked about here.
I wish that new races had the option to be Kingdom only or Empire only, even if the pre-made races were unable to be changed. It seems a shame that new races don't seem to be able to choose the option for Kingdom only or Empire only.
I always imagined it as a case of bribing corrupt guards who would give you the keys to the city... or something like that.
It would be great if this could be fixed in 1.6. =)
I tried but discovered I was missing out on too many conspiracy theories... and one does have to justify the cost of these tin foil hats.
Well, you've got that neat pirate suit, that Doc provided to you for free - that can help make up for the til foil hats. ;-) [e digicons]|-)[/e]
I thought you would have given up even reading apocalyptic propaganda after December 21, 2012 failed to cause the end of the world. ;-) :P Still, if one really wants to cook in fear, there are plenty of horror movies that can sate that longing... maybe see how many horror movies you can watch in a row before you have a stroke or heart attack. NOTE: I accept no liability for people who are addicted to fear and adrenalin so much that they would actually try this. What you co
Are you going to release this?
One out of two aint bad. ;-)
You might notice in the OP that it excludes GalCiv3. Sorry about that! =)
Regarding Glamour and Rude, maybe Derek could work out why they are not working as Player bonuses? He might be able to fix the issue.
I think it's because there is not enough room on the city battle screen for the big boss, and the extra creatures don't help either. =)
It is possible Derek, with huge maps with lots of henchmen with Commander +XP%, Quests and Quest maps, as well as abuse of that Sov spell that levels up the champion for a slight reduction in hitpoints (if the reduction in hitpoints still applies).
I like all these ideas. =) [e digicons]k1[/e]
The new version of NoXPSplit is 1.5b as I removed some duplicate XML entries in one of the files. Please update if you downloaded 1.5a.
Updated NoXPSplit to the new version. Both the base mod I Need To Move and the No XP Split mod should now be compatible with LH 1.5. It should also be compatible with all mods for LH 1.5, including Children of Storm and mods that use or don't use Heavenfall's UnitStat Library Version G. I will make any changes necessary to update it to LH 1.6 which has been announced but has not come out yet.
I think there's no point creating a world if you don't eventually want it to move forward. Some good things are happening and other good things are coming up, if you know where to look. That's enough for me.
No worries (Australian-ism). =) For one-off questions, use the modding questions thread. If you need to ask multiple questions on the same topic, it can help to create a new thread for it, so others can still ask questions in the modding questions thread. If you are asking about a specific mod, you can ask on that mod thread if the mod-maker is still active.
Posting for inclusion in my threads page (and also for reference to other modders - this information is still current for LH).
I echo what Illauna (who btw is male, which he has mentioned in past posts, in case you're wondering about it sounding like a feminine name) said. The Stardock forums are quite well moderated, and generally pretty friendly, which Illauna and I have tried to express. Yes, I think it's bad to have such a blatant double standard with this. Just track the mortality and health on the same turn for the same city, maybe include GFireflyE's unique defenders, and call it a day.
