Even though it is a lot better than it used to be, the game doesn't seem to properly unload the previous map when you reload, until it just runs out of memory. It can also slow down in long games with lots of cities and units.

I haven't been able to download version 1.2 either on Internet Explorer 10 or Comodo IceDragon (a Firefox variant), with or without being logged in. And no-one else has downloaded in the 2 - 3 hours since you uploaded it, so there may be an issue.

If it is a Sov-only Ability, you could use a percentage and it couldn't stack, because no-one else on the same side could get it (unless you got another Sov to surrender which had it).

I'm really enjoying AoW3. It has a great Random Map Generator and I really enjoy the extensive tactical battles. The patches have much improved the game I think. I like to play XL two-layer maps against 7 Non-Allied Emperor AIs, with Starting Distance = Far, Medium armies, no roads, few Cities and Dwellings (there will still be enough), Many Treasure Sites (basically dungeons) and I like to build up a killer stack with my Leader and starting hero and 4 other troops and g

For new tactical spells, how about Dispel? You would decide whether it would include strategic spells cast before the battle. But for balance purposes, probably it would remove both negative and positive spells and effects on one unit only, else it might be too strong. Or you could have a fairly expensive global tactical spell that removes all positive and negative spells and effects from all allies and enemies, possibly even including strategic spells that affect combat.</p

Last thing I heard, is that you can get reconstructed a number of times, and there is special surgery that keeps you going for longer in the one body, but that eventually you expire and pass your holdings and ships onto another character who you also control. I don't know if anything has changed since I heard about that.

Yes, I don't think they should have called it spouses DLC if it was just new Leaders. I think that was a bit misleading, and set Stardock up for extra disappointment I think.

Thanks for your post tjashen, I really enjoyed it. And I am enjoying AoW3 too. :) You know, I got W3:DLR for free when Steve Fawkner, the creator of Warlords, was feeling generous after Australia won the cricket that year. ;-) It was a really nice gift.

If nothing else, the professional and decent thing would have been to release the patch. Even if not all the work had been done, it would have been better to edit the OP and release what was done. It IS unprofessional and bad PR to leave a previous game hanging with an unreleased patch while you go on to the next game.

With the mods that have new spellbooks, sometimes the new spellbooks can be bought with The Decalon, too.
