I wouldn't argue against updating this trait now that caravans have been limited. But they are still in the game. They are just auto-built. And there is the Economic Treaty which sends a caravan to an opponents capital city. That's an immediate +10% gildar. I often set these treaties right after I meet a new faction. It gives me a road to use for eventual conquest, and as the caravan moves it reveals the map and eventually the location of that factions capital. It's a good wa

It's how it was done in E:WOM. I liked it. Alot. I loaded up an E:WOM save from last month to get that pic. Man what a difference! Anyone else see the old man in the mountain?
In the mouseover text in-game, " Spider Venom Sacks " and " Vial of Poison " both start out saying "Melee attacks...". There is no mention of ranged attacks. That's not to say one or the other did or did not get tagged as poison capable. Within all that XML and whatnot, I imagine it is exceedingly easy to mix and match objects and actions. I'll pay close attention to poison damage when I get back to the game. In this current game, one character has developed a ta
I don't like auto select next unit in a game like this. It jumps from units still needing attention to units not even on my mind yet. Train of thought gets interrupted. A new train gets running before the old ones off the tracks. ... I gotta load a new data set into the human RAM. Process that new function. Then backtrack to deal with something which should have doggone been done already! I really, really don't like auto-select in my TBS games. It needles
Changed the title to "Resolved" after it prompted an internal discussion and we came to the same realization as you in your edit. You'd be surprised how many times design changes go unnoticed by all but the folks that actually implement the change
Heh, that's what testers are for ;~P More eyes, fresh angles and all that. Apologies rallying the team towards a false alarm. I like the new auto-deforest
Yes Please!! I feel strongly the same way. Something along the lines of... Thick gold border for units yet moved. Thinner blue for sentries with movement available. Border as now, for those who've exhausted their move. The unit UI is just begging to be put to this purpose. As things are now, it serves just a fracti
I've seen some oddities with other lairs. Just recently I cleared a wilderness region and some of the troll camps had the Resource HUD, while others had the Treasure HUD. It's possible that I only got loot from the camps labeled as treasure. I can't recall. But some camps were definitely absent loot. While others had some.
I too am curious. I won't download until I finish this game just in case.
I installed patch .86 then loaded up an .85 save. It loaded and I played a turn. I don't know if that's a reliably indication or not. Later I'll play some more, but I gotta take a break ;~P Been playing for hours. One More Turn Syndrome and all that.
I've seen varying damage as well (v0.85). I've got a Champion with poison dagger +4, sac +1, and vial +2. I haven't paid it particular mind; but I think I've seen as high as 6 damage from the dagger... [ after a strike I'll see the weapon damage displayed, followed by three more damage values that I presume to be the poison ]. I've definitely seen greater poison damage than 1. And saw it before I'd gotten the +2 vial. I've got a c
Are there any save-breaking changes between .85 and .86?
I agree. Though I wouldn't mind the occasional ambush. But every battle feels like one cuz my units are always out of place. PS: I'm liking the variety of tactical maps. Some even provide tactical considerations. Is a good start.
Updated OP.
I agree. I like some space to explore and tame, survey and settle. With near neighbors much of the early game is lost.
Forests are removed when placing a Lumbermill. So a mill can be placed, then deleted from the queue, to clear forests for free. Might be better for the forests to be removed only After the mill is built? EDIT: I belatedly realize that chopping forests have no costs and that any building can be built directly forests. So it's only a small problem that forests are removed from sites where buildings were never finished. I encountered this when placi
Why does it say .85 changelog then .80 patch?
And how is that the posting date is January 30th? Perhaps a .80 changelog was queued but not posted. Then Derek updated the log for .85, and posted. Updating the title but missing the first line? This update is impressive. Particularly for the AI.
No. I am saying that Steam has very little effect on my PC. Anyone willing to not buy Rebellion that loved the previous installments simply because it is on steam is overreacting... like when Bill shot Black Mamba in the head overreacting. It's a slight hassle, not big brother scanning your computer for illegal content. Get some perspective. Or don't. You guys are funny to watch when you crack all the way. Just make sure
Congrats on your successes; shortcomings and failures are an aspect of humanity. It's all relative anyhow. It may be that gamers increasingly seek simplicity. I don't want to believe it, but it may be so. But even if, it is clear a large population seeks otherwise. Not everything need be a blockbuster. And who wants to live in an homogenized world anyway. It gladdens me to see people do their own thing. Especially where the art and process is valued over product and sale. I va
Relax. Most of the first class American citizens (corporations) you think are watching you are in fact not watching you. The ones you think are relatively safe are in fact scanning your computer as you read this. And one of your family members is telling them everything they want to know about your bowel movements. She will not be named.
Are you saying that the user data steam provides to publishers has no value? That they market this fea
I don't put much value in the features of steamwanks, but I am glad it's there for those who do. But I don't accept giving over my usage license such as steam requires- among other things . I don't have an alternate for steamworks as I'm ignorant of the industry. But as a player I wonder how it was that pre-steam games could do these things. And I find it unbelievable that economic and engineering limitations forces steamworks on us. Or are they just saying that th
