Two core things I find in common with some here: Decisions with consequences matter. Balancing competing interests IS 4x Gaming .
I'm saying that a player who aims to expand and gather resources and found cities should be faced with decisions that have consequences .
Agreed! Well stated. And I too feel that to be currently lacking. Whatever game is being made, it seems to me that decisions with consequences is relevant.

I voted fair. I haven't been compelled to keep playing after a few turns. E:FE was fun at first and I enjoyed a great many hours of it. But the excitement over newness faded during Beta 2. So now the true test of replayabilty can be gauged. I'm not finding it. I fire up a game, play a few turns, then exit. I think it's due to a lack of city build options/specializations/decisions/strategy. Might as well auto-build them upon learning requisite tech. I wouldn't like that, but in

I'm anxious to get Object Desktop. I'll be upgrading an old PC soon. I've determined that Object Desktop is required software.
Create your Hero to be most powerful, or fun? At first I played to max out bands of badass heroes. Then I settled in to role-play hero development. "Strongest" trait got trumped by "Best Fit". I look for deeper specializations in the future. To go beyond "Best Fit" to "That's it!".
I'd rather a game have one skin color, than have people defining real world civilizations with fictional in-game traits. If you haven't noticed, the social sensitivity of racial bias has been kicked up a few notches of late. It is a subject that is getting mass air time and riling the radicals up. Who in turn rile the moderates. Stupid shit occurs. This issue gets periodically inflamed. Society ain't healing cuz people keep picking at the wounds. Be wise, don't pe
Assigning color to race would be racial biasing wouldn't it? Blending all to one would then remove racial biasing in a game. Get over it already everyone. Stop drama-frying the issue of racial biasing. That fuels it.
Bummer 'bout the delay. This game excites me. I'm anxious for update. But I find no disappointment in waiting another week, or more. It's your beta, you know best. You've all done a great job with the beta thus far. And I'm happy the game is in the state it already is. And that Beta 3 looks to kick it up a level or few. And am thankful we were brought in so early. The Y gets dropped from Yours to become Ours. Early benefits are already seen. More will come. Thanks Bra
I'm working double-time to earn some time to play tonight! Looking forward to check out the new toys.
I like AOW. Played all the release content, then a handful of mods. Now I'm playing HOMM and enjoy it enough to at least play through all of Heroes Chronicles. As I play HOMM, I began wondering if HOMM influenced WOM more than MOM did.
The encumbrance can also go too far. I was playing a game where I RP'd my factions units as spirits. Weak beings. Hordes of little green meanies. I gave them two weaknesses to portray they are summoned rather than trained and equipped. And being only partially in the physical world, I wanted them much weaker than normal units. But the encumbrance was a killer. Arm them with a single weapon and they've maxed out their weight. In that situation I think encumbrance go
Apparently the government is cracking down... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=L81QC9XN I think they're cracking up. There's so much rotten corruption, that it will all fall down unless they continue these fascist plays.
Me to Scopeh. Is time to get some lore on! Starting with the games namesake. Who is the Fallen Enchantress, whats her story?
Very nice! Is very good. Your stars are awesome. I'd be quite happy to get that look on cotton, rayon, and hemp. In a couple months I should be back to making textile arts again. I've missed it. I enjoy the whole process of realizing in the physical world, scenes imagined in the mind. I need the money to!
