And we got people saying that Stardock doesn't listen to the players enough. Doesn't surprise me that someone else would say that they listen to them too much. The truth is probably somewhere in between.

I've encountered this alot in the v1.1 betas. Its happened in a variety of situations. I haven't noticed a pattern. It happens when I have remaining movement points, and when I have none. It happens when the unit is the last to move or the first. It may be that only certain quest huts cause it. Will pay more attention to it in the future since I see that it's not just happening on my underpowered computer.

Has anyone seen any faction other than the Ilyan Orekeepers? I found mention of other minors when digging through the game files. But in game, I have only seen the Orekeepers.

Where you playing as an Empire? Habitation is an Empire tech so it should only work for them. I first realized this a few beta versions back. lol I did this in a bunch of games before I finally happened to check my "completed research" list and saw that a custom tech was missing. The Habitation tech (Proper Living) is for Empires only. You've choosen to play as a Kingdom, so Habitation is unavailable. Unfortunatly we aren't told this when making a custom faction. So I've posted a list of which techs belong to who... link .

Yes, units coming out of a city now have movement reduced to that of the slowest garrisoned unit. This isn't detrimental to my fun like the barren maps are. I am forewarned and expect it now. It's just odd.

I just find it odd that at the begining of a turn, when no unit in the group has moved, that all units are still limited by the slowest member. When units break rank from a group which hasn't moved, I think each unit should have all of their movement available.

Shoot, I thought today was the final day for submissions. I finally settled on a temporary stat booster for my entry (Empower: 50 mana to grant +5 to a target units stat for duration of tacticle battle). Good luck all! I'm looking forward to seeing the new spell.

If you have any reservations, how about a v1.091 Stable release? It's just numeration, but with the initial rocky release, the .1 series may be of increased significance to some. It signifies that the 1.0 series is "fixed". Perhaps release what you've got as v1.091 and publisize this as the last step, in a series of steps, before v1.1. Ask the people for their feedback. I might have spoken to soon. I've gotten the tacbat crashes again. But something occurred to me. Starting around v1.09p, I started purging my Race folder and deleting custom sovereigns before playing a new build. I started another large map with 8 opponents. Didn't have anyone in the 15-20 range this time. But didn't have any resources either. Nearest resources were once again at my neighbors capital. I posted a thread with a little bit of information regarding the techs. Each of them grants a free tech. But they are faction specific so if you choose a Kingdom tech but are playing as an Empire, you won't get the tech. More info is totally needed. And they should grey out the options that don't work for your choosen faction.

I just rolled a large test map with 4 opponents and this time didn't get a neighbor. But there was a resource cluster right about where a neighbor would be. The cluster was two shards and a fertile. In recent game after game I have opponents within 15-20 tiles of me. I waited to report until I was certain there was a pattern and it was not anomalous. Trying to get free of the crowd... I didn't get the game until Nov 1st. So I haven't played any builds prior to v1.09e. With version 1.09n I was still crashing more tacbats than I could play.
