Thats just it, I think most single player games are far to balanced. One of the things that made MoM so much fun was how unbalanced the different groups were. I know this is a different game, but it is still the "spiritual successor" if you will. In MoM, if you played multiplayer with the gnolls, vs high men, high elf, and halflings, you were going to be destroyed. As far as balance went, the game was ridiculous--which gave the game character. Most 4x games are boring because of the balance

Cool. I would like to see twins added as a possibility.
My vote would be no. Multiplayer games worry to much about balance. I could care less if it is balanced and would actually prefer it not be.
The
Next-turn, get the message you have researched a new tech and can pick one, get some other messages, then get the message to pick what area to research next. (Or maybe sometimes I swear that last message never comes and the game decides I want to keep researching the same old). It would be easier if the tech messages came back-to-back. Throw in my two cents, and I like the throwing knives idea 1. Range Limits---throwing knives 2 squares and as the bow improves increase from 3, to 4, to 5 2. Ammo Limits---6-8 shots, what ever it is. Then have a secondary weapon default for melee combat. 3. Special Shots or enchantments---such as flaming arrows, poison arrows, etc. Could be magic or equipement based. 4. Can you two link two units together for some kind of comb
There needs to be a hall of fame of sorts based on the type of win you achieved. 10 best scores for each.
I usually play a medium. Although a quick game on small is fun. However, I would really like a default map of Elemental as designed on the cloth map that came in my box set. whatever size is fine.
can you explain that middle part again
Are there any updates on 1.2?
I'm so confused
You might be getting later in the game. If you have been playing for a while, you might be getting close the infamous Out Of Memory error. Depending on you size of map. The random hero and changing of the city name is completely annoying. I hope they get that one fixed soon. Call of Titans is scheduled to be fixed in 1.2 or 1.19--I can't remember which Adventure---haven't seen that one. It might be
There has been a lot of information about the stand alone game coming out. It is called Fallen Enchantress.
With the exception of the OOM error, which has gotten much better, the game is much more stable. I have only crashed to desk top once with hours spent playing the game.
I just plain do not like the game anymore.
This is the most honest reply. I have certainly bought a game and not been happy with it.
Is there a way we can choose the world designed like the one on the map that came in my box set. I would like to play that in sandbox. It would be even better if I could choose the regions, but I would be happy with just the default map.
Xia, you are on there. Lower left corner, under asset support. Thanks Frogboy, although it confused me until you posted that you and draginol are the same person. Did you have some many hats that you developed a split personality. I think it might be time for you to talk with someone. I nominate Xia. He is very understanding and compassionate.
I am going to have to disagree as well. The customization is fun--still needs some fine tuning The AI is improving-1.11 I have been attacked by massive armies with armor, weapons, and squads.--thank god for blink. The AI has also started using more spells during combat, so that's even more fun. Like all strategy games the first 100 turns sets the tone. I have been wiped out by monsters and enemy Sovereigns.
Here's something to try to make the game a little easier for beginners. Set the World size to large and the pacing to epic. It sounds counter intuitive but it spreads out the other factions and slows done the pace of the game. It will give you some time & space to build up your civilization using the steps already descibed. Also pick a Sov with Warlord (or create a character with that Job), that will give you 2 Sentinels whi
I like using the standard factions, with the Sovereign that is "assigned" to it. No matter though, I almost always list the Kraxis as one of my enemies---I just dislike those treacherous dogs. My favorites are Procipinee, Relias, and Kul-al-Kulan. Carrodus is pretty good, the sentinels do help early on so you have decent guards protecting your cities.

Nice post. A couple others have said it but your sovereign can use any spell regardless of INT level. [e digicons]k1[/e]
Xia, I really think he was talking about you. [e digicons][/e]
If they make it so if you don't start with terraforming you can at least research it, you could make an island that has an Elementium deposit that you could mine. You would have to build a land bridge.
I like that I can buy good armor for my heroes if I have money.
