If you played as Tauron you always wanted Fire Nodes because he had Chaos Mastery which helped with Mana, and fire summons wer

Great update. Really looking forward to FE
first I like it, although I couldn't see the pictures, only the video.
This sounds great, can not wait to see it when it comes out. Tarth getting the +10 to defense when hurt, makes it sound like each faction will have different abilities---that is fantastic.
It sounds cool. You could work the the 'attract' prestige bonuses of inns and similar buildings into the spawn rate. Perhaps when the city level (population) is high enough and an attract building are present there is a chance for an adventurer to become drawn to the city. Could work as an additional bonus to building certain types of structures (perhaps a war college increases the likely hood of seeing champions that
This sounds great. I agree with Alstein, I would like a couple wandering champions that you can recruit. if not, perhaps if your Sovereign stays in the capital, it can trigger a champion coming to the city looking for employment. As your prestige increases so do your chances of having someone come looking for work. Any chance the other races would look at switching sides. Perhaps a Magnar champion is tired of the Empire ways and wants to lend his
We are excited Frog. Mith--no worries. The concept of War of Magic is incredible. Hopefully War of Magic 1.3v will be an improvement. There is also room for an expansion or two to keep everyone playing. Depending of the direction SD and FE end up going.
Tridus, If I had to pick two from your list it would be the first two. I waited twenty years already, I can wait a little while longer. Just from what they said FE sounds great. I just wish they wouldn't cut the marriage and children from the game. I think that adds more depth to the character you are playing.
I too have been searching for the spiritual successor to Master of Magic. Elemental has significant potential. I have been pretty happy with the purchase, and with the up coming 1.3v release--I think I will be even more happy. I don't participate in the betas, so I am still playing 1.2v. I am also really looking forward to Fallen Enchantress. As to your post. CITY PLACEMENT--I do think being able to select your first city location does give Elemental
arunodayt Have you played any since coming back?
If you are playing as your sovereign then continuing to play after your sovereigns death is jarring. It also breaks the emotional tie between the player and his sovereign if the sovereign is just another empire resource, especially if it may make sense to throw away the sovereign so that you can have a promising heir take over. You don't have a hard defined reason to protect the sovereign, or to be so eager to hunt down e
I would not agree with cutting tactical combat.
Fair review. Thanks for finding it. Since 1.2a is the "first" release of the game, it would have been nice to mention 1.3.
+ AI now evaluates which player they care about the most with Dynasty ties being a big motivator. When a sovereign dies, it will give its kingdom to its heir.
This is fantastic. I know they removed the dynasty part from Fallen Enchantress, but I hope some type of heir system still remains.
?- Better name for a Green Dragon ?- Better name for a Red Dragon ?- Better name for a Giant Black Widow Spider Is the name for the monster's supposed to be for in general, or for specific ones. Generic I like Green and Red Dragon for general names. I think we can be making it to complicated, but I like things that tie Green Dragons to the forests (being a D&D guy, the black dragons were the swampies)--so perhaps a Forest Wy
Still Needed: Unit Abilities: ?- Unit starts at 2nd level-------------------I liked Natural Warrior Armor: ?- A magical breastplate with increased defense----------------Cuirass of the Dragon Spells: ?- Tactical spell that gives all your allies a bonus vs missile attacks.------------Something with wind---Wind Shield, Gust of Wind
Sounds great, looking forward to it.
fantastic update
gain exp overtime... assuming there are special buildings or special bonuses that get applied once they are built, though your units have to be within your territory or in the confines of a city to gain the benefit. Like a Jousting building, Swordsmanship School, Archery School, ect, ect. These would provide training bonuses of exp per turn to the units but be capped to a certain limit or level.
I would be fi
XP gain to survivors of a battle is fine. I think troops and champions should gain experience over time as well.
What a stupid post.
Names representative of factions would add more depth. I bought the version with the map, and I always change my city names to those on the map or name them after characters in the book. After Procipinee father's name for example---Amaria.
I am not a fan of some of the "big" games. I look for the things I like, the trouble is finding out about some of these middle of the road games. Marketing becomes the bigger issue. That being said, I am looking forward to Diablo III.
Gwenio1--I understand your point, but i still prefer games that are not multiplayer balanced.
