My friend seems to think so...
Lol Everything makes you gay, just like everything gives you cancer. Only being gay is kind of like being a Nazi sympathizer. Even if you absolutely hate Nazis, if you happen to be kill a Jew it makes you a Nazi s

Well, Neandrathals were actually another species of humanoid that died off, while at some point they lived parallel with homo sapiens (same time period, occasional territorial battles?). I'll agree with the essence of the previous posts though ... its kind of useless to clone a Neandrathal because he or she would be too human-like- it wouldn't be able to live a happy life among humanity, and it would be too humanlike for us to feel good about exploiting it for our own gains. P
rally points? Oh yea, even though its MOST useful in RTS, if you have a HUGE empire rally points can be quite useful. I could have definitely used rally points as the Bannor during a Crusade (in Fall From Heaven)
One idea I had earlier was that Constant-Effect defensive spells could have a "mana burn" ... where if a City (or Army) force field costs 20 mana burn ... and you have 100 max mana .... then as long as the spell is active you only have access to 80 max mana, meaning that the mana will not regenerate beyond your Maximum minus the mana you are currently burning. Additionally, the turn you invest it costs 20 mana to initiate. Meaning, that if your max is 100 and you currently have 60
I don't mind turns as being mere abstractions, honestly. However 4 turns per year (1 per season) might be best. I suppose it really just depends on how long games last. For instance, Fall From Heaven games usually last 200-300 turns. beyond that is (a long game) but thats just on quick speed. In fact, in multiplayer, when turn 200, 250, or 300 are reached we consider those "long ass game" benchmarks. Paradoxically, the first 100 turns pass by remarkably fast, and almost EVERY
Anti-magic forcefields sound cool as a one-per city building unlocked in high-end magical tech tree. Building such a building, would cause a Magical Nullification shield to envelope the city. Good target for Sabotage via Assasins/ Saboteurs ;)

I like the Persona Games because I get to fight Polytheistic gods with other Polytheistic gods. Angels and Devils too.

This is a system for [MMO]RPG games, and not for strategy games.
Its from random events, on average each player will get the same number within a game ... and your Sovereign has to be inside a city to respond (and gain possible experience/rewards)
I see adventurers as killing monsters/ completing quests I also see a spin-off strategy of Adventuring as focusing on recruiting Monsters I see adventuring nations as developing their land less, but only because they focus on Adventuring tech. The idea of having a separate culture for each tech tree seems a little extreme, and as mentioned earlier HAVING to research a little bit of Civics and a little bit of Magic will be needed in every game. I saw Froggy make a mistake and his guy stepped back on a tile he didn't intend for. Is there a way to correct that or is that just a wasted step? I'd hate to accidentally move in one direction then have to waste a turn to correct it. Then again, perhaps there is a way to do that already and
Well, depending on how aging is done, I doubt you would stay a child for much longer than your first few turns. (like 10-20 turns, 100 turns at an extreme ... either way its still early game, with potential for child-bearing in your mid-late teens I suppose- if you get your dynasty started fairly early) Now, if INSTEAD we are talking about a sovereign who stays as a child for the ENTIRE GAME, then i see that as a perfect reason to take it the wrong way xD
I must say that I am happily surprised that the AI can already design its own units. I thought that you would have to "make" units for each faction's AI.

The creators of Intellectual Property are the humble farmers. The people that gain from it (whether 3rd party suits or lead/central pirates) are the Knights and Bandits that rough up the peasants for some FOODz (either for the King or themselves). :p but seriously, thats what it comes down to. I wish there was more of a difference between protecting Intellectual Property and paying Tithe to talentless Suits. But then again, the financial systems that the suits will cre

The only MMO I have ever played was Ultima Online ... I just like SP too much to enjoy things that reward people who go on raids to get excel gear or whatnot. The hard core PVP (original) world in Ultima was fun, but at the same time I'm too much of a pack rat to live that "freely" either ... especially if it just ends up as guilds that prey on the occasional passerby. Meh, it was fun though ... although I think I spent more time collecting jewels (from killing Gargoyles?) and
interesting that retailers won't buy games that have already been released elsewhere. Especially interesting since most retailers seem to not care when new releases come out unless they are a AAA release. It seems like an indie game would be able to sell to retail even if its been out for a while .... Not saying that Stardock is indie, but if I wanted to produce my own videogame at some point in the future ...

You don't even need an "auto engage" system, merely there is a pop-up (for the defender) every time an army comes into range of your ZOC army. (on the attacker's turn). The attacker's move pauses when his unit comes into range of the ZOC, thats when pop-up happens, and you make a choice. Then either battle happens, or you decide NOT to fight, and then the attacker's turn continues. If you DO fight, afterwards you are auto-placed back into your ZOC position, wether it be "fort", "camp"
