I love the amphibious monsters. Specially the powerful Coastal Fish-eating monster (slath/skagg?) and the Swamp Drake (Slag).

Options ... another form of feature creep which can weaken a game. Either the game is balanced for retreating armies, or its balanced for Winner Take All. If the WTA is selected for Release, then Ill attempt to mod in retreating armies Asap. As such, I would likely be playing an imbalanced game, but that's ok because its better than an attacking army losing all their units because the defender hides an invisible unit upon a cliff or something. Basically, I don't know a
Same for me. Win7 64 bit. I have only tried this with fullscreen, not sure if Windowed version has a similar problem (if possible). Likely only for fullscreen mode ... but still, I think that would be one of the more common ways of using the game?
well, all the battles Ive fought so far have been my Sov vs 1 enemy soldier, or my Sov vs 5-10 enemy soldiers. The only time my Sov was ever "defeated" was while fighting strong monsters. Ive noticed that enemy Sovereigns have a habit of not stacking with their army. Not that I'm any better, but still, it makes their Sovereigns a bit more easily defeated.
I like Mire Skaths, Coastal Skaths, Slags, etc .... (amphibious creatures) .... I like Bone Trolls vs Trolls, and Rock Spiders vs Black Widows ... basically I like that its all there-> variety of creatures. Initially those creatures seemed extremely strong ... and half way through the game it took me 5 tries to kill one (just with Sov) ... but by the end of the game, turn 250, with heavy plate and a combat rating over 90, I can take those Bone Troll leaders and Coastal Skag leaders
Interesting. Well, either way, there have been many different marriage customs. Point is, that although I personally don't see a need for young sovereigns (as I don't think it fits the theme) I guess people can mod in their Narnia sims or what not.
grrrr ... come one, post it now! :)
Well, most of the contest makes sense ... but I don't quite understand how you get points for Diggs and Wishlists. Someone care to enlighten me? And, are wishlists just for the Data collectors or something? Because it doesn't really seem to be "advertisement." Also, how do people have 5 wishlists for the same game? Do they want 5 copies of the game? I don't understand.* *possibly inflating Elemental sales possibility among DD businesses, so that DD businesses (amazon,
Well, in modern times most races aren't fertile till age 14 or so (exceptions being 13 and 12, usually of african descent) however I suppose in medieval times even Europeans might have been regularly fertile at 12/13? Or perhaps getting married before being fertile was a common enough practice. In any case, many Middle Eastern (turkish?) cultures marry off their women as soon after their first period as possible. (probably different now?)
Ah ... yea, all delays on features seem to be just a matter of them not having the proper AI code. Once the AI is completed, we can use the feature (against AI and each other) and find any possible bugs, noob traps, and "best answers." A sign of a really good game is something like this ... "Well, it would be really awesome if I had A, B, and C ... but well, im kind of in situation X, so its probably best that I grap B first, and then grab C when I can. A can wa
Yea, asking for "balance" feed back isn't going to be omnipresent ... or rather, it isn't about a completely balanced game. Its just stuff like looking for Noob traps while building up your economy, finding some Bugz, and seeing if we like the Pacing of the game thus far. If the pacing is good, then we are good, if the pacing is a tad simple, then its fine because later we will have more options (magic, etc), and if the pacing is too complex then it might need a re-ev
Imho only Sovereigns (and possibly Dragons, at least those still growing) should gain abilities/strengths/etc just by merit of being alive. Ergo only Sovs and Dragons should increase power over time. However, a highly levelled hero should be able to do some damage.
Just a little (maybe ) question, will we be able to just have a few AI's play against each other and see how / why they decide to do the things they do? That could make for an interesting new game, have people try to develop an AI that can beat the others, could even become a tournament, let the best AI win and become self aware... Ok, that last part may be a bit too much
lets do this
we can't handle clones of any kind in the movies something always goes wrong and from what i have seen in real life . well lets just leave that alone
Oh wow, a movie did it so it must be true. In movies, the hero always survives, and every tiny disaster always escalates into worldwide catastrophic proportions. Real life just isn't so.
Quoting Snowman, reply 13 Quoting Demiansky, reply 8 Neanderthals, as it turns out, were just as clever as we were with a brain to body mass ratio that was equal to ours. You are quite correct, but you're talking to deff ears. Thanks to some daft French scientist/archeologist/anthropologist who published (wrongfully interpreted) pictures early in the last century, most "humans" have set their minds to that neanderthal
Im not sure how you would "mod in" an all archer faction ... unless you mean new equipment and tools to counter the use of mounted units vs your archers. I mean, you could simply build all archers and it would be an all archer society. You design your own units. So ... you could have heavily armored archers, lightly armored archers, long range archers, short range archers, invisible archers, and magically enhanced archers (magic archers). And also, of course, using you
Sovereigns are actually just extremely long lived, but for Game purposes all Sovereigns and Champions are biologically "immortal" meaning that they won't randomly die in game from something silly like "age" [e digicons]:meow:[/e]
How about morale drops by 1 for every attack and defense? If you lost more troops than the enemy, you take an additional 1 hit to morale. On average, champions start with 90, Sovs/Creatures start with 100, elites start at 75, regulars start at 60, draftees start at 40. High morale is 70+, Normal Morale is 50+, Low morale is 30+, Panic is 0. Spells, flanking, terrain can all effect morale ... having a covered flank? +3 morale. High ground? +5 morale. Near
Can vampire child sovereigns have children? Male? Female?
Quoting Demiansky, reply 37Quoting seanw3, reply 32I would be skeptical that we really have the advancements required to recreate something from its DNA. Last time I checked the methods used for cloning necessitated eggs and sperm that could then be split. My question is about the process and our ability to do so. Beyond that, nature is merely a fluid construct of humanity. Today's technology will be tomorrow's nature as our nature tod
Personally, I am against cloning of humans altogether. I may be a redneck, but I see neaderthals as human. Creating life is for God only. I believe that clon
You should really finish Persona 3 and Persona 4. Just keep an early save before you think its "starting to get hard/inescapable" and then blaze through the rest of the way with only quicksaves every day or so. (in same slot). Cheating at the Tests isn't so bad, but Cheating at the storyline/monster weaknesses is UNACCEPTABRE!! :p Its the one RPG where your don't really need to grind (unless u want all the monsters for some reason), and you can get any monster if you know how to recom
Can a Neandrathal marry a human? Would you introduce them to the public school system?
Well, it'd be kinda cool if you had some epic spell that takes 50 turns (or something similar 30-60 turns depending on alignment of the stars) ... 10 of which your Sov is "inaccessible"/frozen in place gathering supplies or preparing rituals etc. After the 10 turns of preparation rituals, the rest of the turns are just waiting on the ingredients ruminating/ for the stars to align/ etc. Then, your Sovereign has free reign for 40 turns (or whatever) to do what he needs to do, and then 1
