I don't mind the outcome of one dude almost singlehandedly defeating an empire ... especially considering that that empire was poorly run. If the empire was more intelligently run, then perhaps the dude would need a little backup, no?
Hard to say, I rather like the way zooming is *currently* handled in the Beta. However, I guess eventually I would prefer scaling while my gut reaction only from this video would be to keep it fixed. Also, I could see fixed being more useful early game, and scaling more useful late game.

We have made some adjustments to unit sizes based on our internal betas. The largest sized group (for now) is going to be around 20 units. There was too muc

... if you know what the attribute does (ie a developer) I see no reason to not have a page in the Hiergamemnon that gives detailed descriptions of what each stat does ... (opening stats to have a more complex relationship with the gaming world) For instance, Strength could effect not only attack but also damage resistance, while Constitution could effect HP increased on level up as well as resistance to status effects/ status effecting spells. While Dexterity c
heh, yea. I think we should certainly be able to increase more than one stat upon a single level up ... I don't see how (+1) does a whole lot of good. additionally, I completely agree that all level ups should add a little bit of HP. Maybe +3 HP as a good start. Perhaps the higher your constitution, the more HP u gain, like +1 HP @ level up for every 5 points of constitution. And constitution could have an additional purpose for poison resistance/ mental resistance (for ignoring fear/
well, I think they should give us two points to spend, where 1 point = increasing any stat by 1. I also agree that increasing movement should be somehow limited.
huh ... well having a ring cost 20 crystals is ok in my book ;)
Also, THANK YOU THANKYOU THANK YOU!!!!! For having the multiple tech trees! Especially the tie to race vs the tie to ideology. THANK YOU!!
well see ... I don't see the Empires believing in the power of the individual ... beyond those individuals that they THINK should be in power. Otherwise empire units would gain exp (I would think). I mean, the Kingdoms seem to have the most vertical mobility ... and both kingdoms and empire seem to have some social stratification, yet kingdoms seem more flexible in that regard. So im not sure about the power of the individual ... it seems more like the Empire is the power of the HIVE,
yea, currently levelling up just isn't strong enough imho. However, I'd rather that Sovereign's simply started strong.
I thought/ was fairly certain that each Faction, or at least of the Kingdoms, is founded at a different time Post Cataclysm ... and that in the Sandbox we merely have all the factions starting at the same time.
nice
NPCs , stronger NPCs should be hostile, weaker NPC's should be able to join for the right price. If your nearest army has at least an 80% chance to win, then a strong NPC turns from hostile to "willing for the right price"
Persona 3!!!! xD .... but yea, its just first come first serve. there are ... I think 1000? Get it while the getting's good ;)
My Elemental for 0.804 will not even make it to the main menu (or any opening theme/video) ... it simply stalls at the picturesque scene saying Beta 2B and stops responding. I am wondering if it is just my computer, or if other people are having a similar problem. I will try restarting my laptop (several times) however I fear its either the program, or my broken processors, or both. My laptop is a Windows 7 64 bit, although its not in the most healthy of conditions. Its due fo
post
well, other than the fact that its NOT fencing unless its 1 vs 1 ... being able to invest that much time into athletics (espcially combat oriented) sounds pretty cool.
I think the point of the "myth of the offensive" in WWII is that people thought that encircling the enemy was "always" possible. Even in today's world, its only possible with massively superior technology or numbers. It would not be wise to assume that you can always avoid their main forces ... therefore a single axis attack, regardless of the pathing, is not the best approach. I think that preparing ONLY to attack the enemy's rear guard and reserves/supplies is the very same
I like the sound of 8.6 gigajoys. To be honest I was just hoping for more than 7.5 gigajoys.
Personally I think that here, champions should be counted seperately from units (even though units might be small). Since your champions are going to be your leaders once your army sizes get larger, I think having two separate caps, one increased through research in adventuring techs (for your champions) and one researched through warfare techs (for your units) would be the way to go.
I agree in
Well, in WWII the Defending team always had the advantage ... while many people thought the offensive should work, disregarding even the Defensive capabilities of the other team. (Read The Blitzkrieg Myth before trying to say this wasn't the case) In Medieval times, however, I simply don't know ... although I would bet that the attackers had many chances to get the upperhand, whether it be through Cavalry or Night
Quoting Tasunke, reply 156The movie "Splice" is already out? Yeap. It's pretty decent too. It's kinda a rip off of "Species" though. The storyline isn't "ground-breaking" by any means, but I was reasonably entertained. It's got a few "Hot" scenes as well. It's worth a watch.
Yea, I certainly saw (from preview) how it was a rip-off of Species. To me it looked like a political spin off of Species?
