Just wondering, why Channelers cannot increase their Wisdom at level up. speaking of which ... I really hope you add mana regen back to Wisdom :) (at last per turn) and speaking of mana regen, how do certain enemy Sovereigns (and their children) regenerate mana during battle? Second Topic, Elites and Squadrons. Both are good, both work well together, but why tie their requirements into each other? Shouldn't someone be able to field e

right ... but if a spell is 0-50 damage why does it seem to miss 20% of the time? xD
A lot of us have been saying that split attacks might be a better implementation than a single combined attack. It would be nice to have the necessary code available so that I could mod group-units to have split attacks (if its possible, I'm sure its possible?)
Hmm, I didn't see the ability to build group units in the campaign, that might have just been my bad. So the always 10 damage is not a bug then I take it?
Okay, so a Banished one (and that final enemy Sovereign as well, apparently) can cast a spell that damages all enemy units. As far as I can tell ... maybe its "supposed" to be randomized. However, what it actually does is always deal exactly 10 HP damage to every enemy unit. That, as far as I can tell, makes it unwinnable other than with autoresolve (because the enemy sov regains mana every COMBAT turn) I mean, if the "kill all ur doodz" spell was just a
Sawing logs???
hehe
Heh ... your forces were twice as powerful, yet you lost. I'd like to see the breakdown of the battle (as well as if they had extra help from city defenses) cause otherwise, it seems like the "combat rating" could use some tweaking. But yea, the first thing I may try to do is to make Dragons harder to get and more powerful :p
K, so it CTDs when I click "get update" ... is this because the update isn't live yet??
Yea, f*ck pirated copies ... if pirated copies were horrid 8-bit renditions while the actual buyers get an Imax + Orchestral masterpiece, all the better xD
Has elemental been released for Beta-testers yet?
Well, the overall style is actually immensely "2-D" so yea ... I see what you are looking for, and even though I don't think its needed ... if you wish you may create 3-D grass and see if you like it better.
I think the point was that if you need little things like grass to be 3-D, it really raises the graphics standards of the entire game. Sure the ground cover could use "a little bit of induced noise" but that doesn't mean having ground textures actually be 3-D. With the current art style, 3-D grass would likely look out of place. There are already many objects (in some locations/settings) that are indeed 3-D, just not the most basic or minor ones. Just my
Sounds a lot like the final episodes of Hunter x Hunter
Interesting ... I will have to follow this. Have you tried looking for investors?
Actually, pretty sure that there WILL be tactical battles available in MP. The threshold is decided at the beginning of the game. Edit: (looks above) Does this mean that beta testers will be able to get the game on Sunday??? Also... if Sovereign death = heir will take over, I think different NPCs should have different AI directives (instead of all NPCs having the same personality, while running an empire)... therefore if the odd mook gets control
If an enemy Sovereign dies, it would indeed be nice if their Cities turned into Minor Factions (the weak kind). However, this makes those cities easy pickings for the "vultures" of opponent civs that may have not ever fought Sovereign X, but were still close enough to pick up the pieces. Therefore, I would prefer if the Cities of Slain Sovereigns turned into "Feral Ruins" that spawned monsters of some sort (preferably monsters and undead, maybe the occasional demon). I
[quote who="Keilworth" reply="462" id="2718729"]The total war games do retreating from battles really well. You do sometimes have to do counterinsurgency to mop up armies that you shattered but didn't completely exterminate, but this doesn't hurt the game too much. A few notes: 1. This helps promote combined arms! Light cavalry become essential to making sure that you ONLY have to fight an army once. 2. It allows you, the player, to make dari
Yea, from what I understand the Wives become a unit of the Husband's nation. Meanwhile, all children from the unit have like a 66% chance to run away to the Nation the Wife used to belong to.
Hehe ... 3 HP children seem a tad weak, I hope children are usually at least 5-10 HP. (since Con can't go below 5 on even a custom sov :p )
Is there literally a space-ship the size of a galaxy?
Are there actually galaxy sized ships? Somehow that seems ... a bit hard to pull off. Props for giving it a go though. My personal preference would be a general max the size of a solar system. I mean think about it ... Thats HUGE!!!! Galaxy size just seems to big.
Well, I'd say the best examples of this sort of thing is in Suikoden. You have a great story with competing factions, and in the middle of the conflict the MC recruits random people of all kinds and shoves them in some abandoned castle he finds/ etc ... and this HQ slowly gets upgraded as the story progresses (more space) and he recruits more people (more shops).
Sovereigns have cities ... usually a palace too. Although, this idea is nice for RPGs where the MC doesn't start of as a king.
Please tell me that Elemental does NOT region lock their multiplayer. Stardockians? Yes/No?
