I'd personally like a Mercenaries game that is more like Mount and Blade. Namely, battles happen whether you're there or not, and faction borders change with or without you. That way, its not nearly as static, yet you can still have a large impact if you want to.
My favorite AI is one that plays like a World Class gamer with 80% emphasis on Role-play vs meta Hence I agree that there will always be work to be done concerning AI. Each new feature requires plenty of AI work to get back to speed, in relation to all in-place features. That's my take anyways.
yea, the background chatter was odd, although I could still hear the primary conversation with clarity.
Well, for those that can tell the difference (most) ... the choice seems clear.
you should take a look at the Make-An-Empire thread
Moon gates? can we also have Makai gates and Netherworld gates?
Sounds good.
These are (for the most part) complete guesses so ... Rarity of 70 is out of 1000, so there is a 7% chance in each game that it will appear. Perferred Terrain (land) for Spawn Rating, LevelLo, and LevelHi ... it has something to do with what Adventure level has to be teched (by anyone) for them to start appearing.

Masters of Tartarus : worship death, worship warfare all citizens are called masters, as they are masters of their own fate. The elite wear opaque contacts to strike fear and confusion in their opponents. And wield swords infused with the energies of souls. The Masters worship a pantheon of Angels governing Death, Warfare, Strength, Focus, and Storms. beyond the panthe

Meh, don't worry over Theology. Just play Shin Megami Tensei to satiate all your religious needs. ;) xD

Well, he can be insane about conservative topics ... cause thats his style. Talking about marijuana is a bit "out of his loop" thus if he acted insane on this he wouldn't be taken seriously by anyone (as opposed to very few people).
Oh, I didn't say that there aren't good FPS games ... but yea, if you broad stroke it, you have to ignore outliers ;) FPS is about playing a game quickly, and getting it done quickly. Its about speed. (same with RTS usually). Content of length isn't an issue (whether the campaign is good or not, for instance). Quality ... an issue for some. Variation ... an issue for some. However, content is not an issue. (unless you mean how many guns you can choose fr
Hehe ... well actually a couple of my towers I wanted to have "a height beyond comprehension" so disappearing into the sky sounds ideal ;)
ok ... how do you make things really, REALLY tall? (like stack things on top of each other). I'm trying to make some Towers for a netherworld type reality.
Either way ... some combination of Intelligence and Wisdom should be used to increase Perception (find hidden things) with a proposed "trap-finding" schema ... Intelligence increased your chances of finding a trap "per attempt", while Wisdom increased your number of attempts. Although ... maybe you should be wearing a rouge pack or a scout pack to even have any chance of finding traps??
1) soldier morale 2) soldier and champion loyalty 3) some resistance to mental attacks (also affected by Wisdom) 4) personal morale and loyalty (also affected by Wisdom) 5) optional choices (via dialogue) to avoid some battles (other choices offered with high Intelligence or Wisdom) ... different enemies are more impressed by a different stat, and some battles are unavoidable. When an attack screen comes up (not from a major faction) auto-battle, manual-battle,
I suppose digital Artwork, and digital posters *could* be included as DLC ... but you can probably get Digital Soundtrack + Digital Map from the game itself. After all, the map was made IN GAME ... and you probably have full access to all of the sound files. As for a "making of" video ... who knows?
Yep, interview is awesome. And yes, there is totally a difference between the "average" teenager that wants to burn a 'couple hours' on a video game, and someone that likes playing well-made games for the quality and staying power of the game itself (whether or not they are a teenager) :p The former is far less likely to continue playing video-games (as much) later in life ... plus the "style" of video-gaming they do at any point in their lives wi
On Assassination attempts. Assassins have special abilities they can use on any-ole tactical battle ... which tend to ignore parries, ignore part or all of their opponent's defense, and deal more damage than the attack roll would imply (anywhere from 20%, 50%, or 100% more). These Assassin abilities do however use up more action points, and some even require an unaware opponent. Unaware opponents include opponents that are either Charmed, Frozen, Stunned, or Blinded ..
Having multiple Champions in an army is fine ... but what if we assign ONE champion/sov as the "general" of any given army. For instance, you have an army without a Champion ... no general. You have an army with 3 Champions ... select one to be the "designated general". The only Command related abilities/talents that would effect the army would have to belong to the General. examples of this could even be related to Stats. Charisma could effect the overall morale of your troop
