I suppose "Drudge" could replace the name "rebel" and instead of producing nothing could produce a fraction of a production point. If you want "Empires" to have a higher drudgery percentage (less happiness/belonging), then maybe slightly increase the productivity of Empire drudges. And additionally give Empires a building to boost the productivity of Drudges (or all citizens in general). Additionally, do not change the tax system (ie drudges still do not produce

I guess what I'm saying is that ... sure, why not allow units to use magic? But I think they should be imbued in order to get the global bonus of shard damage. I suppose its not necessary. I mean, alternatively ONLY the soverein (and level N+ champions) could get Shard traits ... like say there are 3 traits Magical Mastery I-III, with II being available at level 4 and III being available at level 8. Then the Sovereign and level 8 caster champions could both
I like the 'only channelers/imbued can use shard bonus' idea.
I'm not sure if all Champions need to have 'magical' spells, but certainly each needs their abilities (perhaps a separation between a good melee champion(martial skills and/or buff magic) and a good ranged champion(ranged spells/or ranged magical attacks)) In any case, I'm sure some champions would just be very strong, with no spells and maybe not even an initial martial skill (but having at least one would be cool)
In Wall of Fire (and other such "attack all" spells) I would hope the 2 fire damage per unit is really 2 fire damage per soldier in a unit. So that, a champion or other 1 soldier unit would get 2 fire damage ... while a 10 soldier unit would get 20 total damage (2 damage to each of their individual HPs, if 'hopefully' possible)
Yay for unique units! :) wait ... any Faction can build any Unique Unit? lame >.> (I had thought each faction would have their UU's come with Better Versions of the normally available equipment) like a longbow that's as cheap as the starting bow type ... or a short-bow with higher accuracy, etc. That'd be at least 3 unique equipment for each Faction (probably more) but I think it'd be <span style="text-decorat
its kinda like a sequel. I'd rename it "The Art from Elemental: now with better gameplay!" ;) Seriously though, just plain "Fallen Enchantress"
I'd second it. If for no other reason than Impulse has been bought/renamed as Gamestop iirc, and I'm not sure where we will be getting our "free Fallen Enchantress" from ;)

I would think regular grassland should have at most 1-2 hammers per tile. (as opposed to the possibility of a regular grassland tile having 3 hammers) They don't. The numbers in each tile is a total of that square and the 8 immediately surrounding it. Basically, FE is doing the math for you, just pick your square and go. <b

So you are not freaked out by DPS in turnbased game... Nah, "DPS" has become a generic term these days and people know what it means in this context. No need to change it to DPT.
exactly :)
Yea ... during the start of a battle, it'd be nice to "Challenge a Champion to a duel" that is on the opponent's army. The AI can also challenge your champions to a duel right at the start of a battle. a champion can only challenge once per battle, and a champion can only be challenged once per battle. Turning down a duel would cause a loss of prestige. (or gold ... perhaps the person turning down the duel can decide whether they w
Quoting Lycenae, reply 36 Also, it should be harder to build more advanced units in hamlets... I think that's an important idea. EWOM already does this with archers -- you have to have a Level 3 city to build an archery range (which I actually find mildly annoying, but only because I'm a big fan of archers; it's probably excellent game balance). Here's one possible approach to that that might fit well i
Here's an idea ... as an example. Units are tanks, Heroes are DPS. (however, heroes are better than units ...) So then .... Level 1 Hero starts out with HP equivalent of an elite 4-man unit .... and the attack power of a 10 man unit or more. However, Heroes only do half damage against other heroes. And two equal units would probably need about 3 hits to kill each other. ... &
Yes, having separate UnitCombats (and/or Classes) would be nice (at least for Champions) .... and having Skill Trees associated with each unit-combat. just a thought [e digicons]:-"[/e]
It is better to the degree in which you think it's better. For me, the game will improve in a major way when they realize that champions are currently boring and indistinctive, and when they individualize them, give them better names, unique abilities, special appearances, and for the love of God, give the magic users their own mana pools of varying size and regeneration rates. Differentiate them and make them useful in their own right, no

CivFan is different, they're supposed to be somewhat independent. I used to lurk there looking for Civ2&3 info back before Civ4 came out. It was fairly mello back then. But when Civ4 came out, it became fanboy city. I think Civ4 brought in a massive influx of younger users to that forum. The post written by Gyrate h
Patch 1.1 and so forth has shown a marked improvement to the game of Elemental. Here are a few reasons why. I am not a modder myself, but I suspect that this community is bursting with great ideas that will enable each gamer to mod the final game into "their" ultimate 4x fantasy game. Once you achieve lockdown and release, I will be checking the mods page frequently for all of the great community generated content that has already been discusse
@Jharii ... hehe, yea that's how I feel about *Most* entertainment ... but Civ IV/ FFH just keeps bringing me back. The only thing missing from FFH is an opponent ... and the rare but essential MP-opponent makes the game near-perfect :D
new Spell-book: Armageddon most spells are "world spells" ... meaning that they can only be cast once ... not once per team but once per game ... and effect the entire world. all spells are "strategic" and Apocryphal Reign is both a Tactical spell and Strategic spell. Trumpeter's Sound-off: Random food resources are erased/destroyed, random mountains turn into volcanoes ... allows "First Deceit" to be cast. (World) First Deceit: Releases First Ri
The point is that CC oriented combat should still be valid. What fun is a game where only "Shooty" builds are acceptable?
Nah .. the problem isn't placing Total War into a fantasy setting ... its placing Fantasy into the Total War setting :D I'd love a magic-based creative assembly game ... and hope they make an expansion with a FFH2 scenario just for kicks and giggles ;) (and in this dream FFH2 scenario ... perhaps an entire "world" or most of it ... With Illians, Hippus, Grigori, Elohim, Infernal, Amurites, Malakim, Bannor, Shieam involved (at least))
