A small bonus to champion strategic movement would be an interesting and simple experiment.
only if Champions cannot attack cities (unless accompanied by, or assigned to, a unit)
hehe, does working for parents count? (like at their office or whatnot)

How does the individual HP system work currently? Does it only act as a solitary mass of HP calculated by number of X HP individuals? Or can the individual HP pools be attacked separately? Back in WoM even though the HPs were technically "separate" it was treated as one entity for the purpose of damage calculations. What I would like is for a spell to individually weaken each soldier ... instead of kill a portion of the soldiers. (just more damage variety I guess)

Stole 19100 .... :(
FE does not equal Civ. FE is a bit closer to Civ than WoM is ... but that's like saying Saturn is closer to Pluto than Jupiter is. Civ is all Macro and abstractions ... the terrain is the most important thing. In FE the terrain is less important for the economy(terrain only affects the initial food and production, it does not affect the late game all that much) with individual unit designs and tactical battles ..

For the third bullet, I think that figures should have individual HPs, and I think a single blow should only be able to kill a single figure. (considering regular attacks only, of course) Single blow ofc being 1 figure attacking ... so a unit of 10 should be able to kill a maximum of 10 figures in a single unit (assuming each figure hits and 1 hit kills due to damage). However I suppose a single AOE spell, if strong enough, could kill a single unit.
yea. Maybe just use the Royal Guard unit as an immovable militia(is it even militia at this point?) on Capital Hill.

I feel that all AOE spells should be damage per figure. AOE -> Small damage to each figure Single Target -> Large damage to a single figure as a caveat, I feel that each figure should have individual HP values (which add up to the total HP) So a single target would kill a unit, while an AOE would weaken them all slightly (or kill them all if enough AOE spells were used, I suppose. But it would never just kill off half o
I like the idea. I mean not sure if we need an official nomenclature distinction between a Champion Stack and an Army, but CERTAINLY we could change the functionality of it :) If stack has no 'units' -> cannot attack cities, CAN retreat from battle (as long as no 'owned' unit has attacked yet), CAN go on quests and pop quest huts if stack has 'units' -> CAN attack cities, cannot retreat, cannot go on quests or pop hut
I don't mind a stock of 4 militia defenders for capital cities.
Maybe wounds could 'potentially', depending on the injury, provide -> extra fear, extra wisdom, or extra administrative abilities. Like, someone with a scarred face or missing eye could have less accuracy ... but inspires extra fear (less morale) in enemy units.
I like the idea of Strategic movement being limited to 4. perhaps Master Scout could add to the visibility of the unit instead. (and reducing movement cost for forests/hills) While forests have a move cost of at least 3 ... therefore a properly kitted army could reduce terrain movement effects, and be able to see outwards farther, but still be capped at 4 total movement.
